Moon's POV

"WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!" Somebody yelled.

"Who's attacking?" Patrick asked.

"SPIDERS!!!!" The man yelled.

"Not again!" Ember groaned, grabbing his Netherite sword.

I ran over to see the citizens and the Frostbourne fighting the spiders, with Irifash in the middle of it.

"Reports?" Azura asked Daryll.

"Two down on our side, multiple spiders down on theirs," he said. "Garroth is getting more ammo in the weaponry."

"What?" Meeps shouted. "But I saw some spiders putting explosives in it!" She quickly began to run toward the weaponry. "GARROTH GET OUT OF THERE!" She yelled.

She's going to get herself killed! I realized, as I tackled her and knocked her onto the ground.

Just in time, because the next thing we saw was the weaponry blow up, and a figure being launched into the air.

"Garroth..." Daryll whispered.

I got off Meeps, who was gasping for breath, her face full of shock, as she realized what would have happened if I didn't stop her.

"Thank you," she said.

"You're welcome," I said. "Now I have to help Ember fight Irifash."

I quickly ran over to Ember and began to help him fight Irifash.

"I thought you hated to fight!" He said, smiling for the first time.

"I do!" I told him. "But I won't just hide while my friends are in danger!" I summoned the luminescent blue threads and rapped them around Irifash, before causing the threads to turn into a burning orange and the mutant spider screamed as she was burnt.

I unraveled my threads from her and began to cover her sword with the burning threads, causing the giant sword to melt due to the intense heat.

Once that was done, I pulled out my bow, exhausted, and began to shoot the spiders around us, while Ember attacked Irifash. I had used my energy up when I burned her sword, so I couldn't use my threads for a while.

There was a slight hiss of anger, then silence and I turned around to see Ember had his Netherite sword in a swinging motion, before, he stood up straight, and put his sword away.

I looked down, and almost threw up. Ember had not only killed Irifash, he had decapitated her too.

He saw my look and looked away. "Sorry," he said. "But I wanted to make sure."

It was a victory, all right, the spiders had retreated after their commander's fall, but it wasn't a victory anybody was celebrating.

Daryll looked lost, as he stared at the body of his fellow bandit, Garroth.

"Rest in peace, old friend," he whispered.
