(a/n) I hope you guys like this! It's a bit more mature, I'd probably rate it like teen or something. I hope you like it!

Prompt: "I made a mistake"

------

Shota Aizawa was not stupid. He might have taken a little long to figure out his feelings for Mic were mutual, but he'd found out eventually. The two were happily married now too, they had adopted Shinso and Eri. Aizawa also couldn't afford to be stupid; he was a pro hero for fucks sake. He needed to sneak into villains' lairs, have quick reflexes, and deal with the press daily. But here, with Denki standing awkwardly just outside Shinso's room, Aizawa just couldn't put the dots together.

It was late, the stars shone brightly in the moonless night. Aizawa had tucked Eri into bed ages ago, and had been lying in bed. Mic might have been snoring beside him, but Aizawa was wide awake. He'd already read a little before bed, and didn't feel like getting out his book again, so he'd decided to get a cup of tea. He'd barely slipped out of the covers, when he heard strange noises coming from Shinsou's room. This in itself wasn't entirely unusual. Shinsou wasn't precisely graceful, so occasional bumps and thuds weren't uncommon. These thuds were more repetitive, however, so Aizawa's sleep deprived brain figured shinsou was just bopping to some angsty music.

He could not have been more wrong. Aizawa was clutching a warm cup of tea, and about to open his bedroom door, when a movement from further down the hallway caught his eye. Aizawa had expected it to be Shinso, the person was leaving Shinso's room after all, and was shocked to see electric blond hair.

Denki hadn't seen him yet, and Shinso trailed after him. The couple's hands were tangled together, when suddenly Denki slammed Shinso against the wall. As Denki leaned in for the kiss, Aizawa made out dark bruises littering his neck. Good lord, Aizawa thought, hormonal teenagers. By now the kiss had deepend far too much for Aizawa's comfort, so he made his presence known with a short cough. The couple sprang away, detangling limbs and tongues faster than Aizawa had thought possible. Both Shinso and Denki were avoiding eye contact, blushing with eyes darting around the dim hallway.

It was all a little too much to process.

Aizawa faintly recalled his own highschool days, fooling around with Mic in dark corners and praying they wouldn't get caught. He hoped they'd had slightly more dignity then Denki or Shinso did now. Aizawa sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "You two will be the death of me. Honestly Shinso, Eri's room is right next door. Imagine if she'd walked out instead of me." Aizawa gestured for the two to follow him as he returned to the kitchen. Setting his cup of tea down, he waited for the awkward couple to sit.

"Dad, look I-" Shinso started, but Aizawa cut him off.

"I really don't want to hear it. And don't try to half ass an explanation either, everything I saw was confirmation enough." Aizawa took a long drink of tea, and Shinso and Denki glanced at each other. Aizawa wasn't yelling at them, so either he didn't really care, or was angry past the point of yelling. Knowing Aizawa, it was more likely the first. At least, Denki hoped it was.

Aizawa paused for a moment, unsure of how to continue. "Kaminari," he said finally, turning to face the blond. "I don't blame you for my son's actions, but really both of you should have known better. You could not have expected to sneak into the home of two pro heroes, presumably more than once, and never get caught. You would have to be astonishingly stupid to think you could hide a relationship with my son forever. And Shinso, I would have liked for you to tell me about your boyfriend directly, rather than go behind my back. As pro heroes, both Mic and I often need to work through the night, and I would be okay with Kaminari staying the night. So long as you don't scar Eri, I suppose. And so long as you use protection." Both Shinso and Denki blushed, and Aizawa carried on. "You two are using protection, right? And you know about stds and stuff?"

Shinso was quick to assure his father they were being safe, and, "yes dad, I know about stds. You made me watch that dumb movie when I was like 11." Aizawa nodded, seeming satisfied.

"Alright then, that settles that. Kaminari, are your parents aware you're out of the house?"

"Yes Aizawa sensei, I told them I was staying home with a friend." Denki still didn't make eye contact with Aizawa. Aizawa nodded once more, and drained his tea cup before putting it in the sink.

"Okay. Kaminari, I suggest either head home or stay the night. If you do decide on staying, I ask you to refrain from continuing your... rigorous activities... until Shinso and I have had the chance to talk. And while I would like to discuss a great many things with my son, it's 3:30 now. I have work and you both have school, so I suggest you head to bed." With that Aizawa turned and went upstairs.

School the next day was awkward. Both Denki and Aizawa tried to ignore one another, which did not go unnoticed by the rest of the bakusquad.

"Kamibro! What happened with you and Aizawa? Did you fail the English test?" Kirishima questioned him at lunch.

"No, my English is fine. I just... made a mistake, that's all." Denki responded. The rest of the group pestered for more details, but Denki just blushed and looked away.
