(A/n): I hope you guys like it! Have a lovely day/night.
Bakugou slung his bag off his shoulder, letting it slump against his desk. He'd tried to convince Izuku it was stupid for him to have a desk, Bakugou never did the paperwork anyway. Most of the time, he put it off long enough Midoriya or one of the other sidekicks at their shared agency would hand it. He slipped into his hero uniform, and grabbed the mandatory communication headset for patrolls. Putting it on felt a bit foolish today, it was mostly for inter-agency communication and the nerd was off work today.
Well, hopefully the nerd was off work. Midoriya had the annoying habit of never taking breaks, not unless Bakugou physically forced him to. Bakugou had told his boyfriend he was under no circumstances allowed to do anything work related, though there were high odds of Midoriya ignoring the order. Even though he was recovering from a long mission, Midoriya had insisted he was able to work. Bakugou didn't buy it, the nerd had to be tired. Bakugou checked in with one of his sidekicks, and slipped out onto the street.
—---------------------
Patrol, so far, was rather slow. Bakugou had stopped a petty thief from taking off with an old woman's purse, and had spent most of the day gritting his teeth as fangirls asked for autographs. Things had been going fairly smoothly, until a voice buzzed out of his headset.
"Ground Zero do you copy? This is Red Riot, from Fat Gum agency, over." Kirishima's voice sounded fuzzy over the radio.
"Yeah shitty hair, I copy. What's going on?"
"A group of villains is attacking in the Ikebukuro district, on the corner of Ebisu street and Mizuki Dori. Pro heroes Chargebolt, Creati, and Uravity are already on the scene, but have requested backup. Over."
"Got it, I'm on my way." Bakugou said, already running. He pulled himself onto a rooftop, and used a combination of jumping and well timed explosions to get him there faster. As he turned onto Ebisu street, he could already see the rubble from the attack. Kirishima had told him a bit about the villains in question as Bakugou made his way over. The main man had a metal controlling quirk, responsible for many of his group's heists in the past. The current attack didn't seem to be a heist, though. Instead, the villain was hell bent on general destruction. He'd pulled some of the pipes from the ground– spitting water everywhere– and had yanked some of the support beams from a construction site there. He was proving surprisingly difficult to fight, with all of the metal in the surrounding area.
"This is Ground Zero, arriving on scene. What the fuck is going on?" He asked into his headset, and he could hear Kaminari cheer.
"Bakubro! It's been ages! The– fuck" His greeting was cut short, and Bakugou could see an electricity line had been hit in the chaos. The entire fight was chaotic, with sidekicks trying to help and the villains never seeming to decrease in numbers. He helped Ochako take down a particularly difficult underling, and was putting the villain in cuffs when a familiar figure darted by.
"This is pro-hero Deku, arriving on scene. What can I help with?" Midoriya greeted. Bakugou groaned, cursing his boyfriend, while the extras cheered.
"Deku! I'm glad you made it, there's this big baddy none of us can get close to. Mind giving it a try?" Momo piped, her voice breaking over the radio.
"Wow, even Kacchan couldn't do it? Sounds tough, I'll head over there." Deku teased, and Bakugou could just hear his smile.
"Not on my watch. I told you to rest, you fucking nerd." Bakugou snapped.
"Kacchaaaaan," Midoriya whined, "There are people that need my help."
Bakugou just grunted in response. He was still angry, but the nerd had a point. His anger didn't exactly diminish when Midoriya was able to take down the head villian in less than 10 minutes.
Midoriya put the villain in cuffs, cleaning up slightly before the tabloids were on him. Reporters were asking for his opinion on the fight, or critiquing how late he'd been to join. Midoriya always hated dealing with the press, and he grimaced slightly at the added paperwork the fight would yield. His slight grimace grew darker when he remembered his angry blond boyfriend, and the very explicit orders he had to take a break. Turning around, Midoriya was faced with said angry blond boyfriend.
"What the fuck, Deku?" Bakugou bit out, before dragging them away from the press. He kept a firm grasp on Midoriya's arm the whole way back, as if he might run away and try to fight another villain. The idea was slightly tempting, but Midoriya followed Bakugou nonetheless.
When the two returned to their apartment, Bakugou shoved Midoriya into the bathroom and pushed an All Might comic into his hands.
"Kacchan, I-" Midoriya started.
"No," Bakugou cut him off. "I am going to make us dinner, and you are going to take a fucking break," He hissed. "I know you want to take care of others, but you need to take care of yourself, too. Now go take a bath and relax, if you still remember how to."
Midoriya flushed. "Okay, fine."
"Good." Bakugou stated, before smiling. "I love you, damn nerd."
"Love you too Kacchan."
