(a/n): I know it's a really common trope, but i adore coffee shop aus. If it's not your ... cup of tea... feel free to skip and read the next one. I hope you're doing well!

Bakugou slammed the mug down, groaning when his manager gave him a sharp look.

"Order for..." He trailed off, failing to decipher the scrawl on the label. "Dunce face! What is this supposed to say?"

Kaminari bounced over, from where he had been manning the register. He took a long look at the cup, squinting at the horribly written letters.

"Samara, I think." Bakugou groaned again at Denki's hesitant answer, and shouted the name. He thrust the cup into the hands of an old, white woman, who looked at him disdainfully. More specifically, she looked at the pride pin above his name tag. Bakugou rolled his eyes when she muttered something hateful, her low tone and the general busyness of the coffeeshop making it hard to hear. Not that Bakugou specifically cared to hear. He turned and started on the next order.

He only had to glance at the name to know immediately what the order was. Izuku Midoriya ordered the same drink everyday, a black coffee with two sugars and no milk. He would come in to study, stay there for hours, and order the same thing over and over until it was time to go. Bakugou personally found the drink disgusting, but Midoriya's tired face seemed to light up after the first sip. Midoriya came in almost every day, spending all his time poring over textbooks, writing on his laptop, or sketching in the journals he always brought. Midoriya couldn't have been much older than Bakugou, but he seemed to be taking more classes than anyone else Bakugou knew.

However, Midoriya's heavy workload seemed to be taking it's consequences. Bakugou had seen Midoriya fall asleep several times in the past week, his head resting against his book and green curls fanning out in a halo. Bakugou was never sure if he should wake Midoriya up; the other certainly needed his sleep, yet whenever Midoriya rested for more than ten minutes he seemed frustrated with his lack of progress.

Bakugou finished with the drink, setting it on the counter with a small smile.

"Order for Midoriya?" He asked, eyes on the greenette. Midoriya continued scribbling in his notebook, unaware of his cooling coffee.

"Midoriya?" He called again, though Midoriya remained focussed on his work. Sighing, Bakugou slipped out from beside the counter, and over to the table where the other was sitting.

"Midoriya, your coffee." Bakugou repeated once more, his bluntness coming through. Midoriya jumped in his seat, his pen shooting off across the page.

"Oh! Thanks Bakugou." Midoriya smiled, though he looked tired. It certainly wasn't the first time he'd said the blond's name, but it still made Bakugou's cheeks flush. He took the cup, his eyes fluttering closed as he took a sip. He relaxed for a moment, before turning back to his work.

"Damn nerd. Next time, pay attention." Bakugou grumbled, before returning to the counter. Denki snickered when he returned, chuckling at the blush dusting Bakugou's cheeks.

"Shut up Pikachu," Bakugou snapped, starting on his next order.

Denki just cackled again, "If you like him that much, just ask him out."

"Bullshit, he's just a customer. I don't like him in that way." Bakugou rolled his eyes, getting back to work. Denki's hum sounded unconvinced, but he turned away and let the subject drop. Glancing up, Bakugou found the now familiar sight of Midoriya hunched over his journal. He felt his cheeks flush again, before he turned his attention to the drink in his hands. He found it somewhat hard to focus though, often distracted by the greenette working in the corner.

Maybe Denki's advice wasn't such bullshit after all.
