Like Father and Like Son

As the father and son duo trekked to Natsu's house, Igneel took this opportunity to ask his father a few questions.

"So, what's going on between you and Miss. Lucy?

Natsu remains quiet but Happy says, "He likkkkkkes her."

Natsu mumbles insults under his breath. Igneel smiles, for he has too, had his fair share of teasing from Happy and his kittens.

"It's ok. She is very pretty." Igneel says

Natsu again mumbles something. He suddenly turns around and begins running towards Lucy's house.

Igneel ,knowing his father's knack of knowing when his mother and sister are in trouble, races after him.

Igneel ,being the son of dragonslayer, has a similar speed to his father. He quickly catches up and stands in front of the elder.

"What's wrong?"

Natsu growls, "Move."

"Not until you tell me what's wrong."

Natsu goes to shove the boy out of the way, but the boy stands strong.

"Tell me what's happening."

"I can sense a strong foreign magic inside Lucy's house. I need to check on her."

Igneel takes a deep breath. "My sister."

"It isn't the same as hers." Natsu pushes to get away.

He can't get through. "Listen to me. Kayla is the pillar of light, the banisher of darkness, and protector of all the innocent. She is far stronger than even she comprehends, but her magic has a dangerous flip side."

Natsu looks confused but stops struggling. "What?"

Igneel sighs, "Her magic is the tipping point of light and dark. Her magic was made to fight against the most ancient and evil of all the darkness. The ones who preys one the truly pure and innocent of heart."

Natsu's eyes widen. "Like a white knight?" He could've of sworn his fire dragon had told him a similar story.

The younger boy chuckles softly. "Yes you could say that." He face turns serious, "At night when the light is the weakest, the darkness the must coincide with light attacks her magic. It messes with her magic."

"She is turning dark?"

"No!" He looks down at floor. "She is too strong for that."

Natsu ,finally realizing what's going on, places his hand on the younger ones shoulder. "I'll make sure she'll be. Let's just check on them."

Igneel smiles, big and toothy, his sharp little dragon fangs glistening in the moon light. "I'd like that very much."

The younger boy turns around and begins to run. "Race you there." He yells over his shoulder.

Natsu laughs and chases after his son.
