A light knock on the door of my bedroom pulled me out of the deep thought I had been in. I slowly went to the door and saw Davina.
"Hey, I heard you moved out." I said and she smiled and nodded.
"I'm hiding Kol at the witch cemetery. I just wanted you to know incase you were looking for us." She explained.
"From girl to girl, I wouldn't trust him."
"He promises Rebekah is safe and very much alive." Davina said and I shrugged.
"Do you see her? I wouldn't take him on his word." I said and she nodded. She knew I had a point, no matter what he was a Mikaelson and they were notorious liars.
"I'm sorry he did this to you again Alli. From what I heard from your whole family, you don't deserve any of this." She said and I couldn't help but smile.
"Thank you. Did you maybe want to go do some shopping later? Disappear from this mess for a few hours?" I asked and she smiled eagerly.
"That sounds amazing. Here give me your phone." She said taking it from my hand and putting in her number.
"I'll pick you up from your hideout." I said and her face tensed up hearing Klaus enter the compound.
"Go out my window. I'll distract him." I said pulling her inside the room and going downstairs shutting the door behind me.
"Nik, I've been waiting for you all damn day." I said coming down the stairs. His harsh face relaxed immediately.
"I'm here now, love." He said and I couldn't help the butterflies I felt when he'd call me that.
"Where's Rebekah?" I asking and his face instantly fell.
"I'm still working on that."
"I don't want to wait another week. I want her home." I said and he rolled his eyes.
"Your husband is the one who decided to play games with her life. If you want her back, you'll have to go speak to him." He said and I threw my hands up.
"I didn't come back to be left in this giant compound alone. I'm not a child Nik, you can't just leave me here and deal with everything on your own." I said and he sighed as his phone rang for the second time.
"I'm just trying to keep you safe."
"You can't just lock me away like you do to everyone else. I don't need protection. What I need is to not be left out."
"Allison, please understand-I have to go." He said as his phone rang a third time. He turned to leave.
"Don't leave me locked in this house like a defenseless little girl!"
"I would never dagger you, I would never chain you to the banister. You are free to do whatever your heart desires, as long as it is far from the line of fire and as much as I would like to kill Kol, you are free to see him as well. You don't have to be alone, you are choosing to only want to be-" He said but stopped himself.
"With you. I came here to be with you, to help you. Remember when you dragged me with you to build your master race that summer. That's the kind of distraction I need right now." I said and his eyes softened.
"Why don't you want to see Kol? This entire time, even before he betrayed us you didn't want anything to do with him, why?"
"I really don't want to talk about him right now. Don't you have to go?"
