I woke up the next morning at the safe house. It was five on the dot when I jumped out of my sleep. I heard Hope fussing from the crib beside the bed.

"Good morning." I said getting up and picking her up from the crib.

"Come, let's go find your uncle Elijah." I said carrying her down the stairs.

"Those look familiar." Elijah said eyeing the sweat bottoms I had on.

"Finders Keepers." I said as I put Hope in a high chair.

"I have Klaus and Rebekah on the phone." He said putting it on speaker.

"Could we get back to the subject of our long lost sister." Klaus said and I raised my brows.

"There's not much to discuss, Elijah. She said she was Freya, and then she darted off into the night." Rebekah said and I just couldn't help but smile. I'm so glad she's back.

"And you believed her?" Elijah questioned.

"Who would lie about being in this family?  We aren't some kind fun loving, barbecue at mine this weekend kind of people." I said and Elijah cracked a smile.

"I see someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Good morning, love." Klaus said and I rolled my eyes.

"How is Freya even alive?" I asked ignoring his chipper mood.

"A question, as ridiculous as its possible solutions, given this family's annoying predilection for cheating death." Klaus said and I flipped off the phone which made Elijah chuckle.

"I'm just telling you what she said." Rebekah said sensing his attitude.

"Well, did you happen to ask, if by some similar miracle, our aunt Dahlia lives as well?" Klaus asked as I started making Hope a bottle.

"I barely had a chance to process-"Rebekah said but he cut her off.

"Because on the list of obvious questions, it would be nice to know if the woman who placed a curse on the first-borns of this family is still breathing air." Klaus finished and I knew she was pissed.

"Well, let me just turn back time and do it again to your liking, then!" Rebekah snapped at him and I glanced to Elijah who looked irritated.

"Enough! Both of you. If she is who she says, we'll find out soon enough. For now, it remains imperative that no one learns of Hope's existence. This has been our salvation thus far." Elijah said and I gave him a comforting smile.

"Unless Hayley's husband-to-be starts flapping his gums. Perhaps I should take preventative measures and separate him from his head?" Klaus said and my mouth parted in surprise.

"Nik, Jackson and his mutts are harmless." I said and he scoffed.

"This wouldn't happen to have anything to do with a certain mutt that's taken a liking to you?" Klaus said and Elijah visibly tensed.

"Oh, shut up! No, because he wouldn't do anything to jeopardize Hayley or the wedding." I said and Rebekah gasped.

"Hayley's getting married?!" Rebekah exclaimed.

"I'll see you when I get home." I said ending the call on Elijah's phone.

"I don't have some thing with a mutt. Nik, gets off on making people uncomfortable." I said and he just smiled and slid me over a cup of coffee.
