Author's Note: Time for some monster battling and some bonding with Lewis and Kira! Enjoy! Also, my sincere apologies for being very late on this one. There's a reason why finishing up school can be both a blessing and a curse. With that out of the way: enjoy!

Lewis' POV
It was the early start of a nice Saturday. Ethan, Conner, Tommy, and I were hanging out at the Cybercafé as well as showing our support for Kira as she started to become a little popular around town. When she was performing, I noticed she was getting distracted by certain things like kids playing with the arcade games, the sound of the coffee maker, the loud sounds of foosball as well as Trent drawing in his sketchbook. However I took a quick peek, it was a nice sketch of Kira. I then gave a thumbs up to her and mouthed, "You're doing great!" She gave a small smile back to me and continued playing, at least she's a little better now. Trent then asked me, "Is she okay? I saw you were mouthing something to her." I replied, "Yeah, man. Everyone needs a little encouragement once in a while. Even talented musicians like her." Trent nodded in agreement and said, "You're right when you say talented." After she finished and got off the stage to sit down, Conner said to her, "That was awesome! Something new?"
"Yeah, I'm still working on the hook. But I think there's something there." Kira replied. "I'm telling you if the superhero gig doesn't work for you. You definitely have a musical career to fall back on!" Ethan said encouragingly. Kira then said in a downcast tone, "It's kind of hard to have a music career when no one will listen to you play." Trent came over to her with his sketchbook in hand and said kindly, "I was listening and I think you rock!" Kira then noticed his sketch of her but Trent quickly hid it, saying he'll show it when it's done. "Nobody appreciates good music anymore. All you hear on the radio is that pop garbage." Tommy said and I joked, "What, you don't like Nickelback?" He sighed, "That's one..of many." Hayley added, "Oh yeah, and what's her name, Kylee Styles?" Conner said, "Hey, Kylee Styles has some good music, Dr. O." Tommy gave a doubtful look, while Ethan joked, "Translation: he thinks she's fine."
"No, I don't!" Conner retorted but he admitted, "Okay, yeah, I do but that has nothing to do with it."
"She used to be a really good songwriter and she was really sweet too. Now, she's all about her image." Kira told us. "Something tells me you know her. Are you two still friends or...?" I asked. "Well, we used to be." She simply replied. Both Connor and Ethan gave a skeptical look and Kira shot back, "What? It's true, we were in a band together and she got discovered by this talent agent. Now she's this huge pop diva."
"Oh come on, you don't expect us to believe that, do ya?" Conner said teasingly.
"I think you're the only one who's not believing it, buddy," I said to him.
"Believe what you want, it's true," Kira said with a hint of annoyance. "No matter what these two think, Lewis and I believe you, Kira," Tommy said to her, making her feel better. "Here's your chance to prove it. According to her fan site, she's going to be in town to promote her new CD." Ethan said after looking at his laptop. "We are so there!" Conner said excitedly. I saw Kira look deflated and I said to Ethan, "I think I'm gonna pass on this one, dude. Not a huge fan of divas, especially music ones." As Ethan was getting tickets for Kylee's event, I noticed Tommy saw someone he recognized enter the cafe. I sat closer to hear the conversation. "Anton Mercer! I-I can't believe it." Tommy said to the man in the suit. As he went to shake his hand, Anton said indifferently, "Tommy Oliver. How have you been?"
"You know my dad?" Trent asked as he walked over to greet Anton.
"Your dad?" Tommy asked Trent with Anton giving a cold stare back. "I had no idea! I mean your last name is-" He tried to apologize until Anton interrupted him, "It's Fernandez. It's a long, complicated story, Tommy. More importantly, how are you?"
Hayley tried to break the tension by asking Trent, "Can you help out with Table 3? There's been a bit of a mochaccino incident." Trent obliged, leaving the two.
"I don't understand. I thought you were dead. I mean the island was destroyed!" Tommy said, trying to understand how Anton was still living and breathing. "Well, I was lucky, Tommy. From the looks of it, we both were." Anton replied more coldly. "Why didn't you call or send a message?" Tommy asked getting more suspicious. "Yeah, you know what it's like. Starting over, trying to get your bearings." Anton replied, dodging the question. Tommy then said quietly to Mercer, "Anton, those experiments we were working on, Some crazy things have been happening. We need to figure some things out." Anton said, "Yeah, I suppose you're right. Look, I'll clear sometime next week if that's alright with you." As Tommy tried to object, Anton said it was good to see him and left. After hearing everything, I got out of my seat and said to Tommy, "So much for an old friend of yours. Anton acted like he never even liked you!" Tommy agreed, "Yeah. Something doesn't feel right." I then got a message from Conner that read, "Dude, you can at least still listen to some music while Kylee's there. C'mon, the mall awaits!" I sighed to myself and Tommy chuckled, "Let me guess: Going to the mall to see Kylee?" I said back, "It's not like I want to go! But, I guess I'd be missing out on meeting someone famous when she's in town." Tommy smirked, "Just make sure to have a little bit of fun while you're there and get some actual music." I laughed a little, "Okay, fine. How's classic rock?" Tommy gave a thumbs-up as a reply. I was about to leave the cafe with Conner but I stopped when I saw Kira by herself, thinking to herself. I told him to wait a minute and I sat down next to Kira and asked, "Second thoughts on your old friend?"
She replied, "Tiny bit. You're not saying I should come, are you?"
I said, "Hey, it's up to you. I wouldn't be mad if you didn't want to go. Though I also think if your old friend is in town, maybe you should at least go say hi. Who knows? Maybe instead of groveling fans at her beck and call, she just really wants to see you."
Kira thought for a minute and smiled, "Alright, Lewis, you got me. Let's go." We then got into Conner's car and drove to the mall.
*Timeskip: 15 minutes later*
Lewis' POV
As we walked around the mall, I ran over to the music store and bought a Johnny Cash album while Kira bought a Joan Jett album seeing how she listened to Joan Jett as a kid and Conner grabbed a Britney Spears album. After we grabbed a couple of drinks, I felt like a cough coming on though maybe Conner was wearing too much deodorant. Soon, we heard some teens cheering as a blonde girl came down an escalator with her bodyguards and entourage to greet them, this must be the overrated pop queen herself: Kylee Styles. As she sat down at her table, Conner persuaded Kira to ask for an autograph. The pop diva absentmindedly asked Kira, "Who do you want to make it out to be?" Kira replied, "Just write: 'To my old friend, Kira Ford'?" At first, Kylee was surprised, even..excited to see her but she then gave Kira air kisses which made me realize, it was her pop star schtick and a part of me wanted to hit something...hard! "I didn't know you were a fan of mine. I'm so flattered!" She said haughtily. "Actually, it's my friends who are fans," Kira said, gesturing over to Conner and me. "It's Conner, with an E-R. Also for my old music expert, it's Lewis with an E-W," Conner said while shaking her hand. "Did Kira tell you two that she and I used to sing together?" Kylee asked with a phony grin.
"Yeah, I just didn't believe her at first," Conner replied while I rolled my eyes.
"Oh, it wasn't anything professional. Just some silly teen ex stuff." Kylie replied with a hint of snobbery. "Oh...I thought we had some pretty good songs." Kira responded, sounding hurt and I didn't blame her.
"Oh yeah, sure. At the time, they were great! But hey, at some point you just got to grow up." Kylee said rudely. "Yeah, that's what they're going to be saying about your music soon, honey," I said trying to sound quiet but Kira heard and gently elbowed me in the chest. Soon, more annoyance came in the form of Cassidy as she went through the crowd asking to interview Kylee. The pop diva was about to start but not before saying bye to Kira and that they should catch up and when she wasn't looking, I flipped the bird but not before Conner stopped me and whispered, "Cool it, man! Getting angry at a pop star is the last thing you want to do right now." After what felt like years, Kylee and her entourage finally went up the escalator and left. Kira bitterly said to Conner, "Well you got to meet the famous superstar." He replied back, "Look if you're mad cause I didn't believe you knew Kylee then I'm sorry and from the looks of what she's wearing, you're right with her being all about image. But c'mon, she's so...and you're so."
"Dude, looks aren't always everything when it comes to music stars," I said to Conner about his remark.
Kira then said to Conner sarcastically, "You know what? Maybe you're right, maybe I don't know Kaylie after all." Soon, we heard a scream and ran up the escalator and into the car garage and saw Kylee near her limousine and getting attacked by Tyrannodrones and Mesagog's new monster. After Kira and I teamed up to get some tyrannodrones away from her old friend, Kira told Kylee to make a run for it. After kicking a couple of tyrannodrones into a wall, I saw the monster suck the youth out of the diva, making her look older & shriveled. After she had a breakdown over her new look, Kira took her somewhere while me and Conner contacted Tommy and Ethan to tell them about a new problem. "A monster called Donkeyvac that can extract the youth out of people. That is wrong in so many ways!" Ethan said while looking at the footage of Mesagog's newest creation. "Mesagog's probably found a way to harness youth into energy. We have to figure out a way to fight it. Where's Kira?" "She's taken Kylee to Cyberspace. I think she's having a meltdown looking so old and wrinkled. I got to admit, it's kind of brutal to be in her shoes."
"We'll talk about respect for our elders later. Right now, we got a monster to deal with." Tommy retorted. The three of us then morphed and went over to where Donkeyvac was. We began attacking it but sadly, it was much stronger than it looked. I tried contacting Kira but she must still be busy taking care of her friend. Soon, I tried fighting with Conner to at least get some hits on it, but then, Devin and Cassidy were running over and I shouted to the two, "Please for your safety, don't ask it any questions, you'll only encourage it. Run!"
I then got kicked away by Donkeyvac and after Cassidy foolishly asked the creature, "Exactly when did you know you were evil?" It then sucked the youth out of both of them! To make things worse, Zeltrax entered and began a fight with Dr O, talking about settling a score that he had no idea about. As Conner, Ethan, and I chased Donkeyvac onto a tennis court to hopefully corner it, it then used a few of the tennis balls on the floor and absorbed it to begin firing blasters from its eyes. I tried deflecting a few blasts with my silver sword but it just kept coming, knocking the three of us down to the floor. "It's over, rangers!" Donkeyvac then said teasingly. "It's not over yet, numbskull." I said slowly getting up and Ethan and Connor following in suit. Suddenly, a sonic scream came from out of nowhere, knocking Donkeyvac down. As much as my ears were ringing, it was nice to know the yellow cavalry finally came. As we ran over to Kira, she said, "Sorry guys, I should have gave you a heads up about the ptera scream." Ethan retorted, "Ya think?!"
"But still, we're glad you're here, partner." I said to her. After she morphed, we tried attacking Donkeyvac with our sabers but it wasn't working. She then got an idea with the tennis balls on the floor. She quipped to the monster as she grabbed a tennis ball and racket, "Think you're up for a single match?" After she landed a couple tennis balls into Donkeyvac's nose, the four of us quickly formed the Z-Rex blaster, destroying Donkeyvac into pieces. At first, we felt triumphant until Donkeyvac was revived with Kira calling Tommy on her morpher and saying, "Dr Oliver, this sounds like a good time for some heavy metal!"
"You got it! Braciozord, now!" Tommy replied. We then saw the brachio zord open its hatches and releasing the tyrano, tricera, ptera and apatos zord and we quickly entered to form the megazord. Donkeyvac tried pulling us in but Connor used the tyrano zord to bite it on the nose to release us and I used the apatos zord's long tail to trip Donkeyvac as well, giving Kira time to used the ptera rang, finally destroying the monster and giving the youth back to the people of Reefside. Later, we returned to Hayley's Cybercafé in time for Kira's show. After she put on her stage gear and grabbed her guitar, Trent showed Kira his finished sketch of her and it was pretty good due to Trent's talent. After it was hung on the wall, Kira asked why did he draw her as a superhero. Trent simply replied that he thought she was brave for going up onstage and being herself and not always having to hold onto some image as well as superheroes being the only thing he knew how to draw. Kira thought the drawing and what he said was pretty sweet. During Kira's show, I saw she was doing better than before, guess what Trent said really helped her out. Before she continued, Kira said into the mic, "I wrote this next song with a friend of mine a long time ago, I hope you like it." As she began to sing her song, Kylee Styles came in from out of nowhere and sang with her, much to the crowd's delight.
3rd Person's POV
After Kira played her song and reconnected with her old friend, she and Lewis walked to his house to relax after a very crazy day. As he opened the door for her, she saw that Lewis' living room was still comfy and the kitchen still a regular kitchen but she saw the den that was once a weapon room, now into a training room. "Lewis, when and WHY did you turn your den into an obstacle course?" Kira asked.
Lewis replied, "A couple of days ago. As for the reason? After the first fight with Zeltrax, Dr. O gave me some advice on how to be better at fighting those terranodrones and Mesagog's cronies." Lewis then pushed a button and out came training dummies. "Want to do a few rounds? They might not be your average monster but they do pack quite a punch." He said with a smirk. Kira smiled and said confidently, "Bring it on. I could use the practice." Lewis then activated the dummies and Kira knocked them out in 5 minutes and Lewis was impressed. He said, "Nice one, Yellow Ranger. I have a challenge for you: Let's see who can take the dummies down faster. And no Ptera scream, I don't want any glass to be broken."
Kira chuckled, "I accept." Lewis then set a timer and reactivated the dummies and he quickly took most of the dummies down while Kira only took 4 down. They grabbed some water from the fridge and sat down on the couch for a break. "Whew...what a day, huh?" Kira asked Lewis as he sat down next to her. "Yep, meeting an old friend, taking down new monsters and to top it off: singing songs. Kind of a crazy life but then again, whoever said life had to be ordinary?" Lewis said. Kira smiled, "Yep. Though that doesn't mean the singing has to stop." She then got out her guitar and started singing a couple of her songs and Lewis smiled as she sang. When she finished, Lewis applauded and Kira said, "Alright, now you sing one, buddy."
"Okay...um, what do you want me to sing?" Lewis asked, blushing a little.
"Anything! It can be one of my songs or even a song that you love to sing." Kira replied. Lewis thought for a moment and got a fun idea, "You know any Queen songs?" Kira grinned, "Please tell me you're going to sing We Will Rock You." Lewis smiled and said, "I'd be a fool not to!" He then did the classic stomping and clapping, waiting for Kira to join in. She rolled her eyes with a smile and started doing it as well. After a lot of singing and laughing, Lewis looked at the clock and saw that it was very close to 10 PM and Kira was looking exhausted. "Yeah, it's time for you to go to bed, Kira." Lewis said as he helped Kira up to her feet. "Oh come on, I'm not that tired. It's just been a long day." Kira retorted though her yawns weren't helping. "Yeah, I'm getting you home. Though you won't need a car, it'll practically be in a snap." I said with a smile. "What, your Dino gem can make you fly or something?" Kira asked sleepily. "Nope, it does the next best thing." I replied. I then held Kira close and activated my Dino gem, teleporting us to the front door of Kira's home. "Teleportation, baby!" I shouted but I saw Kira was asleep due to her head now on my shoulder and her quiet snores. I then rang the doorbell and waited a few minutes until I saw there was a key in an empty pot. After I unlocked the door, I then helped Kira up the stairs and to her bedroom. After I helped her into bed, I gently wrapped the blanket around her. I kneeled down and whispered, "Sweet dreams, Kira." I  was about to walk away until I heard her say, "Yeah, you too, Lewis." I smiled and turned off the lights, quietly teleported away using my Dino gem. Not a bad night, if I do say so myself.

Like I said, I'm sorry that I didn't update this sooner. I had to focus on college first. As for the story, I wanted to include some more bonding with Lewis and Kira and I also wanted someone replying back to Kaylee's rude comments. Plus, I know it's not canon but I think Kira would be a big fan of Joan Jett. Anyone agree? Anyway, have an awesome day everybody!
