All the girls were hanging out in the library studying and talking to one another. The library was one of a kind. It was huge, and had spirals and spirals of books. Every single genre could be found, and each were one of the best pieces of literature to be written.

"I'm telling you Jennette, arcade dates are one of the best," Helena said while looking at her math.

"Hmmm, is it really? What do you think Athy?" Jennette asked her cousin while doing some homework for her culinary class.

"I think arcade dates are fun, but I am more of a study or carnival date person," the blonde responded while doing her work for her business class.

"Interesting. So, Helena what you are saying is that: if you had a date with Cable, an arcade would be the best option?" Jennette question laughing to herself.

The green-eyed brunette blushed, "How did you get that!?" she whisper-yelled.

"I was just asking," the girl shrugged with a smirk.

"I think she already had that experience, and it sounds like she would like to go again," Athanasia said smirking and looking at her laptop.

"Shut up," the girl whined. Why were they only targeting her?

"Don't worry, we are just messing with you. Though, you and cable would be an amazing couple, I am telling you," Athanasia told her.

"Yeah! You guys would be so cute. The perfect enemies to lovers. Or, like- a 'my best friend's best friend's best friend!'"

Helena and Athanasia looked at the girl confused, "What..?"

"You know like, Athy is your best friend and- you know what never mind. I don't wanna explain it," the girl huffed.

All three laughed, and continued to talk. As the three girls were still talking, Ijekiel showed up.

"Oh, hi ladies. What are you guys doing here?" he asked approaching their table. He stood at the head of the table, between Jennette and Athanasia.

The blonde shrugged, "Just homework and talking. What's up?"

The white-haired boy reached to touch his girlfriend's hair, but with one quick glance he stopped. "I was just about to do the same. Mind if I join you?"

The girls all looked at each other, "Sure. Why not?" Athanasia said.

Ijekiel pulled out the chair next to his girlfriend and the four continued to do what they originally came to the library for. The only time they would talk with one another would be when one of them needs help.

The atmosphere wasn't awkward per se, but you could tell the girls would rather work with each other, and not have Ijekiel with them as well. This was technically the their gossip session, and he was always one of the topics.

After about 5 minutes of the silence and intense studying, a pair of hands were placed at the head of the table.

Athanasia looked up from her laptop to come face to face with Jake, "Hi, sugar cube. Whatcha doing?"

The other two girls laughed at the stupid nickname the man gave their friend, "Studying. What do you want Jake?"

"Yeah, what do we owe you the pleasure of?" Ijekiel asked, tilting his head to the side with a tight lipped smile.

"Nothing much, just wanted to check up on you. How has your day been pretty girl?" he asked Athanasia reaching to close her laptop.

The blonde smacked his hand away, "It was going fine."

Jake rubbed the back of his hand and chuckled, "Say, hun, you wanna go on a date later on. I know a really good place for an amazing and pretty girl like you."

The blonde looked at the boy unamused, "You know, flattery doesn't work on me Jake."

"Oh come on baby why don't you ju-"

"You have some nerve to continue talking to her when she just gave you a way out," Lucas said to the boy. He placed his hands on the arm rest of Athanasia's and giving the guy a glare.

Athanasia looked up and was surprised to see that Lucas was giving her a smile already, "Hi."

"Hi, Goldie," he said back, then turning to look at the guy.

"Damn Ijekiel, what happened to her being your girlfriend?" the guy snickers.

"Jake. Shut up and leave," Ijekiel dismissed the boy.

the boy laughed and turned, "Bye, Sugar Cube." and with that he left.

Lucas got off the chair, "Who the fuck was that?"

Helena spoke up, "That is Jake Ambrose. In other words, the guy that never stops pestering Athy."

Lucas glared at the spot that Jake was just at, "Huh. Okay."

"Anyway," Athanasia said looking back at Lucas, "what are you doing here?"

The black-haired guy took the place of Jake, "Cable and I came to study and we saw you getting annoyed with his roommate."

"Yeah sorry about that. I will try and tell him to stop, for his safety," Cable told the group while scratching the back of his head.

"Ew, that's your roommate?" Helena question her crush.

"Yeah. He isn't that bad, but he seriously should watch himself before he gets hurt from now on," he told her glancing at Lucas.

"Want to sit with us?" Athanasia asked the two boys.

Lucas shrugged his shoulders with a smirk, "Sure."

The girls decided that they were going to sit on one side and the boys on the other. The girls are sat in the order: Helena, Athanasia, and Jennette. While the boys are sat in the order: Cable, Lucas, and Ijekiel.

They all went to studying and do homework for the respective classes with a little bit of chatter. It was silent for about 10 minutes before the blonde spoke up.

"We should plan to go to dinner again, also what should we do for winter break?" she questioned the group.

"Oh my god, let's go to the lake house for winter break! The water should be frozen at that time and we could do ice skating and everything," Jennette suggested.

"Oooh, yes let's do that. I don't know about dinner though. Are you guys down for that?" Helena responded.

Cable and Lucas looked at each other and shrugged, "Why not?" Lucas said.

"What about you Kiel? Will you go with us?" Jennette asked her.

The boy looked at the brunette softly. He then turned to the blonde and saw her still conversing with his rival. He was hurt, but it didn't hurt as much as it should have. He looked back at his childhood friend that has always been there for him. "Yeah I'll go Netty," he told her with the softest voice Athanasia and Lucas have heard him talk in.

Athanasia and Lucas looked at each other in shock. Why did Ijekiel sound so soft? That was new. The two communicated through their eyes, smirked, then laughed. The other four in the group looked at them confused.

"How does dinner at Hibachi sound?" Athanasia asked the group still giggling. Everyone looked at one another and agreed that would be fine.

The group stayed there for another 30 minutes talking and studying before they all split up and did their own things. This was finally the step into being the best group again.
