“Enserio Abuela?! Mirabel gets a special power too? That’s so cool!”, a young and innocent-looking 5-year old (y/n) said.

“Si chiquita, Mirabel gets a gift like all the other madrigals.”, (Y/n)’s Abuela said smiling at the curious girl below her.

“Why doesn’t everyone get a gift?”, young (y/n) said a puzzled look on her face.

“Well (y/n), when your Abuelo and I came to this Encanto, Señora Alma Madrigal's, brave and heroic husband, Pedro,” (Y/n)s Abuela does the sign of the cross, “Helped us cross the River, he sacrificed himself for us all, which in turn gave his family a blessing as pure as him, mi Vida, Money cannot save you from all things. Remember that.”

Young (Y/n) nodded in response.

“Dios Mío! (Y/n) it’s 6:45 we need to get going! (M/n) Get in the carriage!”, (Y/n)s Abuela shouted before dragging a young (Y/n) out of her room and into the carriage.
