Falling for Mr. Knight

Part 4

Davina's POV

I was almost home whenever I heard police sirens blaring. I just continued walking until I heard the sirens on my heels. I turned my back and see a stopped police car with an officer getting out.

"Get down! Davina Williams your under arrest," the Officer shout.

" What did I do. I'm just walking home from school." I yelled back fearlessly.

"Well Davina I'm sure I'll think of something," the officer smirked as he handcuffed me.

*I watched out the window as the officer pulled up to an abandon lot.

"What the fuck are we doing here? This is not the station. I yelled at the Officer.

The Officer dragged me out the car and threw me in the backseat of a very familiar black expedition.

"We meet again Love," the moment I heard that voice I knew who was behind this whole mess.

"What the fuck! . You had me Kidnapped," I yelled fiercely. 

"Who do you think you are," I spatted causing Jaden to let out a small laugh.

Jaden smirked as he answered me.

"I'm Jaden Knight. Surely you have heard of me?" He questioned me but I didn't respond. Jaden smirked as he looked me up and down.

"Well Love, you wouldn't take me serious earlier so I had to show you I mean business. I always get what I want," Jaden leaned in whispering just inches from my face.

"What do you want from me?" I asked calmly.

" I want you to help me. I know who you are and what you do." Jaden replied calmly as he took the ruby ring out of his pocket.

"And who might that be," I ask without thinking about my words.

" Fantôme," he said calmly as he stared into my eyes.

My heart was pounding no one has ever called me that before. Mainly because no one knows. Something about Jaden saying it out loud has me afraid but happy at the same time. I mean it makes me feel invincible but I also know that it makes me a huge target by him knowing my secret identity.

" Don't Mr. Knight have all the money in the world; Why would he want to work with a poor girl like me," I grinned at him. 

Jaden chuckled at my response. " You're right love but you don't become the most feared in London by following rules." Jaden replied.

"Fine, give me the ring back, Uncuff me, and then we can partner up," I said as an ultimatum.

Jaden smiled as he pulls the keys out of his pocket and unlock the cuffs. My wrist were red and puff from them being too tight. He tossed the cuffs on the floor of the expedition. He reached into his pocket pulling out the ruby and placed it in my hand.

"pleasure doing business with you Love," he whispered in my ear sending chills down my body.

Jaden knocked twice on the window and the officer opened my door pulling me out of the expedition. He put me in the backseat of the cop car and I watched as Jaden driver pulled away. The cop drove me in the opposite direction towards my house. We got to the end of my street and the officer let me out of the car and I walked to my house. I thought about all the shit that just happened and I was honestly scared. I was scared to work with one of the most ruthless men in London. He doesn't care where he leaves bodies at and me well I've never killed anyone before. I don't mind fighting, I can kick ass any day of the week but murder that doesn't sit right with me.

I entered my house to find no one there. Great I thought to myself. My dad must be at the bar. Again.

I went to my bedroom and pulled out the shoe box from under my bed. I placed the ring beside the necklace and closed the box sliding it back into safety.

I took my phone out and sent a simple text to an unknown number.
