If She Was Evil

Chap 12

OMGOSH WE MADE IT!!!!!!!!!! This is probably going to be the last chapter in this book, but there might be more. But I am so happy to finally make it!!!

"Alright, you ready M'Lady?" Ladybug took in a deep breath to calm her nerves. What if they didn't accept her? What if they didn't believe her? Cat Noir reassuringly hugged her. Although she didn't want to, she let go when she heard the mayor say it was time. Vesperia, Rena, Carapace, and Viperion were all waiting for her. "Good luck!" Vesperia whisper cheered. Rena winked at her and Viperion and Carapace nodded.

Viperion and Rena walked with her to the podium. She had never stood in front of so many people. She looked behind her at Viperion and Rena, and they reassured her with their smiles and thumbs ups. Immediately everyone started talking, asking her questions.

"How did you defeat Hawkmoth?"

"Weren't you part of Hawkmoth's team?"

"Aren't you a criminal?"

"How long did it take you to defeat him?"

"Why a sudden change in wardrobe?"

"Are all criminals gone forever?"

"How do we know we can TRUST you?"

That was the one question that got her attention. She turned to the woman. She was obviously a news reporter and had violet hair. She was holding a girl with pigtail's hand. The girl had huge brown eyes that read nothing but sweetness and a little bit of chaos. Ladybug smiled sweetly at the girl. Then she turned her focus back to the news reporter.

"Name?"

"Nadja, Nadja Chamack."

"Nadja, pleasure to meet you. The truth is, I don't even know if I can trust MYSELF. Isn't that what many of us struggle with all the time? Isn't that what makes people so insecure? I can't promise that I'll be the best person ever, because yes, I did work for Hawkmoth. Yes, I was a criminal. Yes, I did have a wardrobe change. But in the end, I realized which side was the right one, and which one was wrong. And that right side is being with my friends. Rena Rouge, Viperion...and Cat Noir." She looked into the curtains as she said his name. "Again, I won't promise complete perfection, but I can promise this much. That I will try. I will try my HARDEST to defend these people of Paris. The people everyone loves so much. And I'm asking you to put faith in me. It might take a while to adjust to, I mean I went from kicking butt and stealing jewels to giving this speech right now. But I am going to try to get through. And if that's not enough to convince you, I'm sorry. I don't deserve your trust. But we did get rid of Hawkmoth, for now, didn't we? I'm going to start by returning everything I stole, so if you'll excuse me, I have to go." She heard no talking when she left the room and still walked until she jupped into Cat Noir's embrace.

"See! I told you you could do it."

Rena, Viperion, Ladybug, Vesperia, Carapace, and Cat Noir spent the rest of the day returning all of the gems and precious items the thieves had taken back to where they belonged. Since there were 6 of them, it didn't take long.

Adrien and Marinette went into a separate room in Tom and Sabine's house. They sat on the couch. "So, what should we do now?"

"Hmm, I don't know. Do you have any bright ideas?"

"Anything with you." They nuzzled their noses. "Come on, let's go to the others."

They walked up the stairs and saw something they did not expect to see. Zoe and Luka were on the couch talking about who-knows-what and Nino and Alya were snuggling on the bed.

Marinette cleared her throat and smirked. "When on Earth did this happen?" Zoe i¡went wide-eyed.

"It's not what it looks like!"

"Yes, it is!" Marinette laughed. Zoe went a deep red. An argument broke out within everyone, arguing about who's with who, who deserves to be with someone, and who is in a relationship. The whole time, Marinette was laughing.

She and Adrien exchanged a look that told them it was going to be like this for the rest of their lives, as long as they stayed friends.
