Marinette, still upset, went out of her room. She wanted to talk to Gabriel. Marinette made her way to her father's room, but she stopped when she heard talking coming from his room. Marinette knew she shouldn't, but she put her ear to the door.

"No...she can't know...I know they're after her!! I'm not an idiot!!" Marinette mouthed the word what??

"Do anything you can to get those flyers down! Marinette can't learn that her parents are after her..."

Marinette's eyes widened. She backed up slowly. "Marinette?" Tikki looked at Marinette worriedly. Marinette was frozen with shock. Then she bolted to her room.

Grabbing her black hoodie, she sprinted out of the Academy. Throwing on her hoodie, she kept running. And running...and running...and running...Until she approached a house she knew. It was a small house she had bought for small getaways. It was located at the end of the street. Her hands fumbled in her pocket as she got out the keys. Marinette, once inside, collapsed to the ground. She held her head and screamed.

"Marinette! Please calm down!" Tikki exclaimed worriedly. The little black creature locked the door behind them and guided Marientte to the couch.

Marinette sat down. She rubbed her temples. "Wh- why would he lie to me? Why would he take me from my family?! WHY DID I TRUST HIM?!?!?!" Tikki backed up. She had never seen her owner this mad.

Marinette saw Tikki and took a deep breath. Her expression adn voice softened. "Sorry, Tikki," she whispered. "It's just all been a shock. The fact that Cat Noir was right. The fact that I've been lied to my whole life. The fact...the fact that I have real parents..."

Tikki sat on Marinette's hands. "I know, Marinette. It'd be a shock to anyone. Why don't we take a rest then tomorrow we can do something to clear your mind." Marinette nodded.

"That sounds nice...let's do that. Goodnight Tikki." Marinette laid down and passed out. "Goodnight, Marinette," Tikki whispered. Tikki kissed Marinette's forehead and fell asleep next to her.

Adrien woke up the next morning and did everything he needed to get done for the day. "Plagg, Claws Out!" Cat Noir appeared and he went out, deciding to roam the streets for the day and do nothing more.

Marinette woke up and immediately went for the front door (Tikki is already in Marientte's pocket).

Putting her hoodie up, she made her way down the cobblestone street. As she turned a corner, she smacked right into someone.

"Ack!!"

"Oh, I'm sorry miss." The black hand extended to help her up.

"Thank youUU OH GOODNESS." It was Cat Noir. She quickly turned her face away.

"Miss? Is something wrong?" He questioned.

"Oh! Uh nope! Not a problem! I'll just be on my way!" Marinette jogged away. Cat Noir frowned. He had only gotten a glimpse of her, but he swore he had seen her before. And her voice was so familiar...

Marinette got away from him as fast as possible.

"Marinette, he wouldn't have recognized you anyway. He only knows you in your...ladybug fotm," Tikki explained.

Marinette sighed. "You're right, I'm being overdamatic."

"This isn't much help, it is?" Marinette shook her head sadly. Tikki thought for a moment. "Why don't we go to that cafe we passed by earlier?" Marinette looked at the sky and slowly nodded.

"I guess so. Maybe eating something will get my mind off of things. Hide, Tikki."

Gabriel watched from his car as his criminals (with disguises) took down the posters, one by one. They had to do it in a sneaky-ish manner, or else someone would see them and then who knows what?

Gabriel was determined to make sure Marinette never found her parents. And that her parents never found her. Little did he know...
