Clefairy and the Moonstone

The gang were now on their way to Cerulean City. To get there, they would have to travel through Mt.Moon. 

"According to the PokéNav, we're headed to Mt. Moon where we'll pass onto Cerulean City." Alain informed.

"Mt.Moon?" Zoey asked.

"From what I know, a very long time ago a meteor crashed into that mountain. The meteor is called the Moonstone." Ember replied.

"Moonstone? What's that?" Mairin asked.

"It's an evolutionary stone," Alain replied, "I thought you were listening when dad was talking about the Moonstone."

Mairin chuckled nervously as Chespie sighed.

"So what Pokémon can evolve with the Moonstone?" Zoey asked.

"It turns a Clefairy into a Cleffable, Jigglypuff into Wigglytuff, Munna into Musharna, Nidorina into Nidoqueen, Nidorino into Nidoking, and Skitty into Delcatty." Ember listed.

"You and Alain learned a lot from your fathers', right?" Cilan asked. 

"That's right. We learned everything from them." Ember said.

The gang were brought out of their thoughts when they heard a scream in the distance.

"Somebody's in trouble, let's go!" Ember decided.

They ran towards the sound of the scream and saw someone getting attacked by a flock of Zubat.

"Zubat? In broad daylight?" Alain asked.

Rotom scanned the Pokémon, "Zubat, blind Pokémon with supersonic powers. Zubat live in caves and hate to fly outside in daylight."

"If they hate daylight then why are they outside?" Zoey asked, confused.

"Doesn't matter right now!" Ember said, "That guy needs help first. Quick Nova, use Disarming Voice! Everyone, cover your ears!" 

Everyone covered their ears as Nova opened her mouth and released a beam of purple hearts in a loud shrieking voice from it at the Zubat which made them leave in a hurry, screeching. Ember ran up to the moaning man.

"Are you okay?" Ember stiffened when the man suddenly got up and hugged her.

"Wow, you're the greatest!" He shouted while crying behind his round glasses.

"Really...it was nothing." Ember tried to say as she was being suffocated by the man.

"That was really superfantabulistic! I give two thumbs up!" He continued as he kept smothering both Ember and Nova. The girl was about to retaliate when Nova slapped him in the face with her feelers which caused him to yelp in pain as he let go of Ember and Nova.

"Sorry about that." Ember apologized to the man as she rubbed the back of her head sheepishly.

"No that's alright you and your Pokémon get along quiet well with each other." He complimented.

"Thanks for the compliment." The girl blushed.

The man grabbed her hands.

"Did I mention how grateful I am?" he said making Ember sweat drop.

"So why where the Zubat attacking you?" Mairin reminded them of the situation.

"They usually don't go out in the sunlight." Alain stated.

The man let go of Ember's hands at the statement.

"Oh yes! I'll explain everything and my name is Seymour I'm a scientist as well as a researcher." He introduced dramatically.
