Audri's POV

Everyone had gone home the day after Christmas, but Janine stayed to help me look for an apartment here in Los Angeles. I was really excited to move into my own place, but I wasn't going to be moving until Justin had to go on tour, which gave us plenty of time together until then. Speaking of Justin, I was a little thrown off by the gift he gave me for Christmas. I was super appreciative, but confused as hell. Despite my confusion, I followed by his directions. The damn candle was already halfway gone from being burned so much over the past week.

While Justin helped my mom clean up the kitchen, I was upstairs getting ready for bed. I decided to take a shower before he came upstairs because I wasn't in the mood for sex, especially with my mom down the hall. Before heading into the shower, I lit the lavender candle.

When I got out fifteen or so minutes later, Justin was on the bed staring up at his phone. "Sneaking in the shower without me?" he put his phone down and rolled onto his stomach.

"It's a free country. Stop staring at me."

"It's a free country," he mocked and I rolled my eyes at him. He could be so annoying. "That eye rolling is gonna get you punished again."

"There will be no punishing while my mom is here," I laughed as I pulled one of his shirts over my head then walked over to blow out the candle. I noticed a little plastic bag floating in the hot wax and it made me furrow my eyebrows. "What is this?" I cursed as I stuck my fingers into the hot wax like a dumbass. "A key?" I looked over at him, but he wasn't paying much attention to me. "Babe!"

"Yeah?" he seemed to be extremely distracted by whatever was on his phone.

"Why was this in the candle?"

"Oh, that's your Christmas present," he mumbled.

"Will you please put the damn phone down and talk to me?" I was getting irritated with him.

He set his phone down in front of him, "I bought you a condo for Christmas." I sighed. It was really sweet, but I hated when he did stuff like that. "I know exactly what you're thinking, but let me explain first." I nodded my head for him to continue. "I know you don't want to take it so if you choose to, you can rent it from me."

I immediately laughed, "How much?"

"Two fifty a month."

"Justin, two hundred and fifty dollars barely covers utilities," I started to object.

"I meant two dollars and fifty cents," he laughed, but sounded so serious.

"I don't think so."

"You don't really have a choice. It's rude to not accept someone's gift." He threw his legs over the side of the bed and pulled me between them, "You wouldn't want to be rude to me, would you?" His lips met my neck and then my shoulder before I managed to reply.

"Fine!" I gave in.

He immediately stopped and got back into bed with his phone in hand, "We're all going to see it tomorrow."

"Does this mean that you want me to move out?" I asked.

He looked up at me with a slightly annoyed expression, "You're joking, right? I never wanted you to leave, but you can do whatever you want. You can pack up now or you can stay here as long as you want."

I bit my bottom lip to keep from smiling so hard, "Thank you, Justin!"

It was the next morning and I made my way down the hall to see what Janine was up to, when the aroma of maple syrup hit my nostrils. I followed the sweet smell to the kitchen to find her making pancakes. "Good morning," I smiled at her.
