And find him you did.

He was currently working on his mystery project in the heart of the mothership. It wasn't that hard to locate him really all you had to do was follow the music coming from the flying sphere.

At least the music drowned out your thoughts, your conversation with Vex already haunting your mind in ways you wish it had not.

"(Y/N) hey" He noticed you as you strolled into the room. His voice was muffled by the music but you could hear him well enough to make out his words.

"You left so suddenly I didn't get a chance to ask what you were thinking about making." You referred to the conversation the group of you had only moments prior.

He snorted, "If you could give me a second then I could show you." He started messing around with the floating music playing tech turning down the volume until it was sustainable to make conversation over.

"I could leave and come back if you would like" You backed up slowly trying to give him the chance to answer you before you got up and left.

"No wait, don't go, I'm almost finished and you're my motivation." His hand was held high in the air successfully stopping you in your tracks, your feet carrying you forward once more to stand at his side.

Of course, you had absolutely no idea what he was doing but it looked interesting enough, not that you'd ever tell him that, you had always been fascinated by what he does. Although science and technology were never particularly helpful to you, you have used it as an excuse to spend more time with Krel.

Just because you enjoy spending time with him doesn't mean you love him.

Your thoughts traveled back to your conversation with vex. Perhaps you were trying to rush something that wasn't meant to be. Everything would change if you told him how you feel now.

You don't love him

And you don't, it's just a silly crush that will blow over if you give it time.

Did he just call you, his motivation?

"Are you having a very small party?" Just then Aja entered the room holding luug in her hands, the animal trying to chew through the floating music device.

"I'm making a mind reader to see inside of the Eli's brain" could he do that? You knew he was unbelievably smart, but the brain power needed to pull something like that needed to be out of this world.

"Oooh see inside my head!" Aja volunteered.

Krel turned around excitedly, holding the completed mind reader into the air so you and Aja had a clear view of it.

Putting them on his face he began pressing the side, the button turning red to indicate that they were functioning properly.

"What am I thinking now?"

"I am not a gloober"

You let out a laugh, turning Krels attention towards you.

You watched as the offended expression dissipated from Krels face realization hitting you once more now that you realize he was still adorning the mind reader. You're hoping to Seklos and Gaylen that he didn't hear you.

Oh god

"Don't even think about it" you playfully shoved his shoulder in an attempt to steer him away from your mind.

"You look like a gloober with that on your face" Aja thankfully cut in.

This was unfair in so many ways he was now able to read your mind. It was hard enough to keep secrets from him as it is, and this just made it 10 times worse.
