Annabeth was a natural at Apparition.

Granted, she was good at pretty much anything she put her mind to, but when all the seventh years started to learn about Apparition, she had taken to it like a fish to water. And now she was able to perform it with a bit more than a soft pop. The license test would be a cinch for her.

Sweaty and exhausted from their lessons, Percy and Annabeth walked out of Hogsmeade with their classmates and back to the castle. Feet aching, the path seemed longer today.

"Stop pouting," Annabeth said, pushing him lightly. "It's not a good look on you."

"I remember you saying I look like a 'cute baby seal that I want to hug forever' when I pout."

Her beautiful laughter filled his ears. "But not when you're jealous. 'Tis an ugly emotion, darling, though I don't blame you."

"What?" He reeled, incredulous. "I'm not jealous."

"Please," she smirked. "You're totally jealous."

"Am not."

"Are too."

"Am not!"

"Don't worry, Seaweed Brain, you'll be able to pull off an Apparition soon." She rubbed his arm reassuringly, hiding a smile. "Maybe without splinching yourself at some point too."

Percy shoved her away and laughed. "I've literally splinched like once."

Annabeth giggled and ran her hand up to his shoulder, pinching him there. "Does it still hurt?"

He rolled his eyes, swatting her hand away. "No, it doesn't hurt."

"Poor baby."

"Keep that up and I won't tell you the secret to wandless magic," he quipped, pointing a finger at her.

Annabeth stared at him, trying to see if he was serious. Percy had picked up wandless magic rather fast after one or two pointers from his father and Harry. She was so proud of him, the elated look on his face when he'd managed it the first time was something she'd never forget.

"But—but promised you would!"

Percy shrugged, smiling. "Yeah, well, promises are meant to be broken."

"Then you're not getting any more kisses," she said matter-of-factly.

"You've gotta stop using that excuse," he laughed, making obnoxious kissy faces at her. "You know you can't resist my lips."

She rolled her eyes, fond but confident. "I'll get it out of you somehow."

The two of them walked into the school and headed towards the library, nodding at Madam Persephone when they entered. She looked up from her book and smiled kindly at them, quickly tucking a lock of her dark hair behind her ear and resumed reading.

Picking a table near the window, they set their bags down and took out their books and parchment. They had an assignment due for Transfiguration so, of course, they hunkered down to start it the hour before class started as a good student does.

Annabeth already had her textbook open, diligently taking notes while Percy watched her, smiling softly at her look of concentration. He was always content to just look at her, the midday sunlight shining on her hair always made it look so bright and warm, washing her in gold and reflecting off her eyes like different colors of the sky. She stopped momentarily to read over her work while chewing the end of her quill, a nasty little habit that was bad for her teeth, but he did it too so he never commented on it. Plus, he found it cute.

"You're staring," Annabeth said, still concentrating on her work.

He blinked, snapping out his daze. "Huh?"

"You're staring," she repeated, looking up and raising her eyebrows. "Is there something on my face?"

Yeah, just her gorgeous eyes and cute nose, sprinkled with those adorable faint freckles. They were like a little constellation and he was stargazing. Not to mention those beautiful pouty pink lips that he couldn't get enough of.

Percy shook his head. "No, uh, I was just wondering, how do you spell soliloquy?" He asked, biting the feather of his quill. Shit, now he was the one doing it.

Annabeth shrugged. "How the hell should I know?"

He laughed. "Fair enough. I'll figure it out later then."

"No, hold on. I'll get a dictionary," she said, getting up and starting toward one of the bookshelf aisles, disappearing between them. A moment later, he heard her beckon, "Percy, come here! Get this book for me. It's too high up."

Percy got up, dragging his feet as he went. "You know there's literally magic that can do that for you," he complained, but the words fell short on his lips when he spotted Annabeth leaning over with her back to him, tiptoeing in an attempt to reach the book.

Her fingertips barely grazed the cover of a rather large book, a muggle dictionary that was clearly out of place amongst the magical tomes. Percy glanced around, no other students were walking around and Madam Persephone was still preoccupied with her book. He smiled.

Percy silently approached her, six plus years at Hogwarts had made him accustomed to where the creaky spots on the floor were, and stepped up so he bracketed her body, leaning up against her. His plan had been to sneak up and kiss her neck, drawing a whispered sigh that quickly turned into more.

So it came as quite a shock when Annabeth did it first.

Just as he made contact, she swiveled in his embrace and turned them around so he was the one pressed against the bookcase. Fisting Percy's shirt in her hand, she yanked him down, moving her lips over his at a dizzying, ruinous pace that made his heart rattle in his chest. Annabeth slipped her tongue into his mouth, swallowing his groan and letting one out herself when his hands slid down her curves to give her ass a hard squeeze.

But before she could get lost in him entirely, she forced herself to pull away.

"Tell me about wandless magic if you want this to continue," Annabeth murmured against his mouth, breathy sighs mingling. "Or I'm going back to doing homework."

"Yeah, sure." Percy chased her lips, ignoring what she said, but she pushed him away, adamant. "Seriously? You've gotta be kidding me right now."

Her eyebrow shot up in challenge. "Try me."

Percy's eyes tracked across her face, relishing in the sight of her flushed cheeks and parted lips. Her eyes were a little dazed too, but the resolve in them was unwavering. She was like a walking temptation.

"Evil," he exhaled, resting his forehead against hers in defeat. "You're so fucking evil, babe."

And so, he told her what she wanted to know.

Satisfied, Annabeth smirked and pressed a sweet kiss to his lips, lingering this time. It didn't take long for Percy to get out of his little rut. His lips came alive as he broke away and trailed hot kisses along her neck that nearly set her body ablaze, her nipples hardening with need against his hard chest.

And then all too suddenly, his kisses became soft and gentle pecks, lazy and slow.

The shift in momentum was jarring, far too heartfelt for the position they were in, and despite herself, she blushed. The intention was undoubtedly there. But he wanted her to beg for it, the asshole. Well, two could play that game. And Annabeth loved playing games.

"Cast the charm," she whispered.
