I'm listening to his soft sniffles as he slowly drifts off to sleep. Every once in a while, a deep sigh would escape his throat. This guy has got so much sadness in his heart. Why is he carrying all the world's problems on his shoulders?

I move his head slightly to see if he is sleeping. His eyelashes are glistening from the early cry fest he had. He is fast asleep. Good. I keep a hold of his head as I stand up and pull him up as well. He is limp underneath my touch. Whatever he had tonight totally knocked him out.

He is actually kind off heavy. So I pick him up into my arms and carry him to the backroom. I know I should be focussing on where I am walking, but the fact that he is in my arms right now, is completely crazy to me. The smile I was sporting earlier disappears as I think about his words to me from a few weeks back.

Don't get confused Jae-A, you're not friends. I open my bedroom door and lay him down on the matress. He is too still. No movement at all. I place my finger underneath his nose... good. He's still breathing.

I lay down next to him. I wipe at his forehead, moving the loose strands of hair away from his eyes. Now I can see his face better. The scar on his right eyebrow looks almost healed. Who did this to your beautiful face?

He smiles a little... I wonder what he is dreaming about. He gives another deep sigh and stirs a little more as he tries to adjust his sleeping position. In his sleeping state, he grabs a hold of my hand. He pulls my hand closer and wraps his hands around mine. I decide to lay down as well as I continue looking at him.

It's okay Dae-Seong, you don't ever have to worry about anyone hurting you again. If they do, they will have to get through me first. From now on, I'll protect you. I softly press my lips against his fingers as I maintain eye contact with him. I brave it as I move in closer and press my lips to his forehead, smelling his damp hair.

"Goodnight Dae-Seong." I whisper against his forehead. I decide to also call it a night, and slowly close my eyes.

I am feeling so good right now. The music is pumping, the drinks are flowing, and I am feeling myself. My friends brought some "snow" with them, so you know tonight is gonna be one for the books. I had a bit earlier, but the feeling is starting to wear off, so I need a top up, just have to get past Dae-Seong. Things have been weird between the two of us since he caught me in the bathroom the other day.

Whatever, he just needs to relax... wait, where's he going?

I see him standing up and walking in the direction of the bathroom. One of my friends, Victoria, walks up to me "Your friend is being such a turd. Why is he here, if he's gonna bring the vibe down" She says with her heavy English accent. She takes out the bag of "snow" from her pocket. I look at her and then the others. I take the bag from her.

Dae-Seong is being a real party pooper. I know he doesn't drink, but I should at least get him to loosen up a bit. So I walk to the table and sit down. I look at my friends again as they give me the thumbs up. I open the bag and throw a little bit of the white powder into his soda. Just enough to make him relax and enjoy himself. I give it a little shake.

I get up and join my friends on the dance floor as Dae-Seong makes his way back to the table. He takes a sip of his drink. I look at my friends and cannot help but feel pleased with myself.

My favourite song comes up and I go sit on Dae-Seong's lap. I run my fingers through his hair "Come dance with me..." I pull at his hand and drag him to his feet onto the dance floor.

He suddenly becomes drowsy. Shit, did I throw to much powder in his drink? No, he probably hasn't eaten yet. He comes from a very poor family, yeah that makes sense. But he has been acting strange lately. He lets go of my hand and walks back to the table.
