Lone Wolves, long forgotten

New Deployment Part 4

You and Samus had been walking around for a while. Every now and then you would meet some more of those buggers but they were no trouble to deal with. You realized that you hadn't seen or heard any trace of the Covenant since you got here, so you decided to make use of free time.

"Hey Samus have you ever heard of the Covanent?" You asked

"The what?" She Replied  

"You know the Covanent, when I went under humanity was fighting them because they said there "gods" deemed it necessary"

"Never heard of them, but there have been a lot of micro wars all over the Galaxy what happened in your time might have been one that I haven't heard of, or it might have been 'lost to the ages'"

"Ok but..." you were about to ask another question but she cut you off

"No more questions till you give some answers"

"Ok then start asking, if we're this ahead of my time then any answers I give you won't matter"

"Ok then we're did you get the armour?"

"It was given to me when I... uh? reached a certain rank?" You didn't know quite how to put this. Like what were you supposed to say? 'Oh when an alien race desimated my home and murdered my family so the UNSC came, got me, trained me, and then stuffed me in this suit to make me more effective.' 

"So your military?"

"Yep"

"Who's military? Galactic federation maybe?"

"United Nations Space Command or the UNSC"

"UNSC? What's that?"

"It's the leading military command against the covanent"

"well then who are the covanent?"

"the covanent are several races that came together to kill all of humanity"

"well I've never heard of them"

"If you've never heard of them then I must have been out for maybe hundreds of years because when I went under it was the biggest thing to ever happen for humanity"

"well then I guess we would have to get you to someone who knows there history cause I can't help you"

there was a small silence before you spoke up again "are there any other questions you wanna ask?"

"yeah, are you human under that armor?"

"Human as the day I was born, but I will be honest I am leaning more towards cyborg at this point"

"so your part machine?"

"yep, I mean I don't have anything other then a neural innterface in my head for my helmet"

Samus and you walked through a door and saw the soldiers standing next to something. you and her walked closer to them  and saw they were standing next to a body. but this was weirder than someone killing another, this guy had green marks all over him, like he was attacked by some sort of animal.

"he's dead" said a Guy with a sloppy Goatee

"oh are you sure he isn't just napping" you said sarcasitcly

Just then the body stared to move a little, everyone flinched except for you, and a little purple bug crawled out from under it. the bug crawled closer to one of the soldiers but he yelled "Get away from me!" kicked it across the room and then shot it. when he wouldn't stop shooting Goatee guy grabbed him by the shoulder and said "Lyle enof!" to which 'Lyle' stopped shooting"
