{{Loki POV}}
"Why Midgard?" I complain. "As I have already said too many times, Father wants you to work with the Avengers. He wants you to help them." Thor says. I whine, not caring that Thor would make fun of me about it later. I try digging my feet into the ground, to no avail. Thor continues to drag me towards the Bifrost, despite my many protests. "They're going to try to kill me." I say. "And they have good reason to. As long as you don't act out, you should be fine." Thor says as we reach the Bifrost. I huff, rolling my eyes.
We go through the portal, ending on top of the tower I was at just a few months ago. I dig my feet into the ground again, this time slowing down the process of Thor dragging me, if only slightly. "Loki, stop it." Thor says. I sigh, and walk with him, already plotting my escape.
A few minutes later, we end up in what I would assume to be a living room, with arguments shooting back and forth. My eyes look around the room, as I enjoy the chaos for temporarily hiding our arrival. My eyes land on a young girl, who looks bored, yet scared. She licks her chapped lips, her eyes darting around the room.
{{Ellie POV}}
I hear two sets of footsteps entering the room, but I'm too afraid to say anything. To turn the attention back to me. I lick my lips, and they sting again. I barely listen to arguments going on around me, instead trying to not burst into flames. I start backing up, only for somebody to grab my arm. I subconsciously yank my arm out of their grip, not wanting to burn them. Somebody clears their throat, and everybody shuts up. I hear a groan, my head snapping towards the sound.
Even though I can't see anything. Funny how I do that.
{{Loki POV}}
Thor clears his throat, and I groan. The girl's head snaps towards me, her eyes cloudy. I stare at her eyes, wondering what could have happened. "Why is Reindeer Games back?" I hear Tony say. "The All-Father has banished him to Midgard for the time being." Thor says, and I kick him as hard as I can in the shins. Thor grunts, glaring at me. I smile, and protests go around the room for several minutes before Thor stops them. "It was not my decision. I had no part in the sentencing." Thor says. I roll my eyes, then start looking around the room again, yet again landing on the girl, standing by herself. I stare at her, yet again wondering what had happened to her eyes to make them so cloudy. The girl starts backing up again, only to be stopped a second time by a hand on her arm. She jerks back, looking guilty.
What kind of secrets were those eyes hiding?
{{Ellie POV}}
Arguments go around the room for several minutes until somebody clears their throat. All protests stop immediately, and I zone out, trying to figure out if I could leave without being noticed. I start backing up again, only to be stopped. Again. By a hand on my arm. I jerk my arm away, wishing I could just leave.
Several minutes later, the conversation turns away from the newcomers, back to me. "What do you expect us to do with her, Maria?" the first man from earlier asks. I bite my tongue, trying to disappear. "I don't know. How about starting with actually talking to her?" Maria says. I clear my throat, turning the attention to me. "Why can't I just leave?" I ask, suddenly feeling brave. I hear several scoffs and snorts, and my bravery disappears. Great.
{{Timeskip//Ellie POV}}
About an hour later, everybody agreed that I could stay in the tower, much to the reluctance of myself. After I was led to where I would be staying, I took my time mapping out the room. After walking in circles for what seemed like forever, I finally have the room mapped out enough. I slowly make my way to where I remembered the bed was, and lay down. I hear a knock on the door, but I ignore it. "Leave me alone." I whine. I hear a snort, then the door opening. "Can I come in?" I hear a man's voice say. "Why are you asking if you've already busted into my room?" I say, sitting up. "Ok, fair point. Come on, I want to show you something." I bite back a laugh, leaning my head back. "What? What's so funny?" the man says. "Nothing. Nothing." I say. "Just leave me alone."
{{Loki POV}}
I sit in my room, staring at the ceiling. After several minutes of doing this, I become bored. I decide to explore the place where I would be staying for the foreseeable future. As I walk out of my room, I see the girl from earlier being led down the hall by my brother. "Thor, what are you doing?" I ask, making the girl jump. "Stark said he wanted to show something to this mortal." Thor says. "Ok, rude. I'm right here. I can hear you, I'm not deaf." the girl says. "I'm sorry, my lady. You're right, that was very rude of me, and I apologize." Thor says. "Oaf." I mutter. The girl laughs, and my heart twists, ever so slightly.
"I like you, you're funny." the girl says, pointing at me. My heart twists again, and I watch Thor lead the girl down the hall once again, her hand dwarfed in his. What is this girl doing? What is her plan? Does she even have one?
