*I've finally finished the book! I'll be posting new chapters of it every day until they're all published! And I'm sorry in advance...*

{{Loki POV}}

I teleport us to the living room, and Ellie bends over. "I feel like I'm gonna puke now." Ellie groans. "Sorry princess." I say. I sit Ellie on the couch, giving her a blanket. Ellie yawns, a smile on her face. I go to find Natasha, after making sure Ellie would be fine. I find Natasha in what looks like a training room, beating up Clint. I stand off to the side, not knowing what to do. "Oh, hey Loki!" Clint says, then gets kicked in the stomach. I roll my eyes, waiting for them to finish. "What do you want?" Natasha asks, while flipping Clint onto his side. "Uh- well, we kind of need to know who got the cat." I say. "I did, why?" Natasha says. "It's not actually a cat." I say. "Loki says it's a flerken." Ellie says, making me jump.

"Sorry, I'm not one to sit still." Ellie says. "It's fine." Natasha smiles widely, looking back and forth between me and Ellie. I shake my head slightly, rolling my eyes. "What's a flerken?" Clint asks, his eyebrows drawn together. "It's basically an alien dressed up as a cat. It has the ability to eat entire universes." At that, Ellie's eyes widen, her mouth open slightly. "Where'd you find the cat?" Clint asks, turning to Natasha. "I- I found it in a box on the street. Thought it would be cute to give to Ellie for her birthday." Natasha stammers. "Are we just going to ignore the fact that Loki said my cat can eat UNIVERSES?!" Ellie says. "Yes, because that is terrifying." Natasha says.

It's been a few months since I got Lady, who is sitting on my lap. Again. I pet her head, and hum under my breath, thinking about destiny and all that. "No, I don't believe in that." I say after a minute. "And why do you not?" Loki asks. "Well, I mean I do, but only to a certain extent. I believe we have free will, and what we do with our free will could, and will, affect our destiny." I explain. "I mean, imagine it as a straight line. There is a timeline, and one choice could affect the timeline." Loki goes silent, most likely thinking. "Arriving to work a minute early or late. Not doing your homework, or somebody lying about something. It could create such a ginormous butterfly effect, that the whole world might blow up, all because you did something that wasn't planned out in the timeline." "Wow. You've thought about this a lot, haven't you?" Loki asks. "Well, I didn't really have a lot to do before I got this amazing family that doesn't include my crazy mother." I say, shrugging.

"How do you feel about starting school next month?" I hear Natasha say, walking in. I groan, slinking down in my seat as much as I can. "Come on, Ellie. We all know that you need to interact with more people closer to your own age." I scowl, repeating Natasha in a nasally voice. "Ellie!" Natasha says. "I don't want to gooo." I whine. "People that are 'my age' would make fun of me." "And you do it right back. Give them a taste of their own medicine." Clint says, making me jump. I groan, covering my face with my hands. "I know you'll make a few friends on the first day." Natasha says. "Can I have $20 if I don't?" I ask. I hear a sigh from the direction of where I thought Natasha was. "Sure." Natasha says.

"You do know we'll have to train you a little bit. To control your powers." Clint says. "Well, like no shit, Sherlock." I say.

"Are you sure you want me to walk with you?" I ask. "Yes, now come on. If we go now, we can stop and get some coffee." Ellie says, dragging my sleeve. "Slow down. Do you have your lunch?" Ellie nods. "Your computer?" Ellie nods again, grabbing her cane from her pocket. I press the button for the elevator, and make sure Ellie has everything. "I think you forgot something!" Stark yells, running towards us. "And what would that be?" Ellie asks. "A hug? But seriously, I made a bracelet for you. There's a little button on it. If you want to be picked up early, just press the button." Stark says, as the elevator arrives. "Thanks, Tony." Ellie says, as Stark puts the bracelet on her wrist. "No shenanigans, Reindeer games." Stark says, pointing at me. I roll my eyes as Ellie and I step into the elevator.
