{{Timeskip//Ellie POV}}

    It's been 5 days, and I've only left my room once since leaving the infirmary. That was last night. I did find a cane outside my door, and I'm guessing that it was for me. Did I see the damage I caused last night during my nightmare? No. Did I go back to sleep last night? No, I did not. I stayed awake all night, chasing my thoughts in circles.

    I hear a knock on my door, and I sit up, not even trying to pretend to be asleep. "What do you want?" I say. I hear the door open, and I lay back down. "You know, I was expecting 'Leave me alone'. Not this mess." Natasha says. "What do you want, Natasha?" I say. "You haven't eaten in five days, Ellie. You haven't even touched the trays we gave you." Natasha says. "Who do you think you are? My mother?" I say, then immediately regret saying that. "Ellie-" I bite my tongue as hard as I can, forcing a smile on my face. "I'm fine, Nat." I say. "Absolutely fine."

    I hear Natasha sigh before walking out of my room, closing the door behind her. As soon as I hear the door click shut, hot tears spill down my face. Every time I almost died runs through my head in seconds, and I cry for hours until I feel myself drift into sleep.

{{Timeskip//Loki POV}}

     It's been 10 days since the girl last left her room, and everybody is worried. Everybody except me, of course, because why would I be worried about a boring mortal? As I'm reading my book, I see everybody staring at me. I know that it is smart for them to not trust me, but my god. Your stares are making me uncomfortable, Lady Natasha. I try to shift into a more comfortable position, but give up after 5 minutes. "Can you stop staring at me?" I ask, glaring at Natasha.

    I hear a booming laugh, and I roll my eyes. "Somebody's uncomfortable, are we?" Thor says. "Oh shut your big mouth. You're so annoying!" I say, abandoning my book and going to my room.

As I make my way to my room, I bump into the girl, who falls over. "Oh, I'm so sorry. Let me help you." I say, grabbing her hand and gently pulling her up. "T- thanks." she says, a small smile on her face. Gods, she was gorgeous. "What's your name?" she asks. "Loki." I say, confused. "I'm Ellie." she says, smiling. Ellie walks off, humming under her breath. A small smile makes its way onto my face, and I turn around to hide it.

    "I'm Ellie." I say, a smile on my face. I finally have this man's name! I'm so excited I could jump up and down, but I remain calm. I walk away, knowing I probably look like an idiot, but not caring. I put my hand on the wall, and I slowly make my way towards where I remembered the kitchen was on this floor. I hear the laughs of several people, and I hesitate before walking out slowly. "Hey Ellie!" Natasha says. I wince, wishing I hadn't been spotted. "Hey, Natasha." I say back, bumping my foot against a couch.

    Several minutes later, I'm sitting on a couch, my knees huddled to my chest. "You good?" Natasha says. I nod, trying to figure out who was in the room. I listen to the conversations going on around me, jumping from one to another. As I listen to Natasha's conversation, I hear the light footfalls of somebody trying to sneak through the room. I quietly and slowly get up, following the sound of the footsteps. I hear them falter, then stop altogether. I swing my arms around me, trying to get my bearings when I smack the wall with my hand. "Hello?" I say. I listen, but only hear silence. Great, I'm lost and I'm in an unfamiliar place.

    I feel a whisper of cold on my fingertips, and I slowly reach out, trying to grab the cold with my hand.
