Depressed Izuku

WARNING: SU*C*DE ATTEMPT!!!

Just one more step. That's all he needed to do. The letter was written, placed somewhere that his mother could find it. All that was left was to take the final step before... before what? What was there after death?

"Well... I'll find out soon enough..." his voice shook as he looked down. The tears streamed down his face as he remembered those words.
'Just take a swan dive off of the roof and pray you get a quirk in your next life...'

"What are you doing?" He spun around quickly and almost took the last step back.
"I-uh-well you see-"
"It's painful you know... for the people you leave behind. You know how bad it will hurt them, right?" They watched him closely, waiting to see what he would do. What he would say.

"I-" he wanted to deny it, to say that's not what he was doing. But how could he? It was so obvious that he was about to jump. He felt tears well in his eyes.

"Why would you care? I-I'm just a quirkless loser! I have nothing!"
"How does not having a quirk mean you have nothing? How does that justify you jumping and putting all of your loved ones through so much pain?" Their words made him pause.

Was it really worth it? Was he really ready to end it all? To put his mother through so much?

"S-stop! I-I-" he was cut off yet again.

"You don't know what you're doing. You have no idea how much everyone is going to need you. So what if you're quirkless? There's so many other things out there that you could do. Also, maybe you could get one. Miracles do happen after all."

With each argument he felt his will to jump lessening. He found himself questioning everything, doubting his decision.

"Go home... don't let your mother lose her little boy. Don't rob yourself of the future." They watched as he ducked his head down and rushed past. They smiled, fading away. He may be back, yes. But they would stop him every time.

"You have a bright future ahead of you Izuku Midoriya..."

This one is definitely iffy. But I like the concept I was going for. I'll try to come back and edit it when it's not super late. And hey... I'm proud of all of you for making it this far in life. :)
