It has been the most hectic times ever, Lilly had to go back to London, overseas months ago, Ryan had fashion week in Paris and had been preparing for months while I had four children and a lot of companies to oversee, so yeah, life is great. I’m at my office and my assistant knocks on the door and comes in.

“sorry ma’am, I know you said not to be disturbed but miss Lilly is on the phone and she says it’s super important, should I transfer the call?” she asks really nervous.

Most people say I’m an aloof and scary CEO but nice at the same time so, you can’t blame a girl for being scared

“of course Ephy, meanwhile get the latest contracts from the lawyer’s office, proofread, if not, tell one of them to come with, in the next 30 min.”

“ok ma’am, hot chocolate as usual?”

I nod smiling, this girl sure knows me. She walks out and seconds later my office phone rings

“hello mademoiselle, how is London?”

“hey bitch, how are my nephews and nieces?”

“they’re good and don’t think I didn’t notice how you changed the subject. What is his name?”

“aargh, I hate you. Anyway, he’s called Alex and super sweet but that’s not why I called!”

“fine, we’ll still talk about it. So tell me what’s so important that couldn’t wait”

“well, the Blacks and industries want to partner on some really good contract that could make both companies billions of dollars”

“that sounds really good. What’s the catch?”
“well, you have to be here in person and their CEO too for the deal to go through.”

“I got to ask, why exactly do I need to be there. You are the CEO of that branch, I got a million things to do”

“I know but that’s the only way to get this deal to go through. We have a week for you to come. Sorry”

“no need to apologize, I’ve heard about that CEO to be an arrogant cold hearted dick, I’ll leave the day after tomorrow, I’ll bring the kids. Do me a favor please, have them prepare my house, I know it’s not in the best condition.”

“cool sis, I guess I’ll see you in 3to4 days tops”

I haven’t really travelled for a while now so I’m a little excited for this upcoming trip

I get home find the kids peacefully playing around the house and Martha. A lot has changed and they’ve grown a lot. The kids, 7 months old are beginning to stand mostly while holding stuff, I on the other hand have gained weight despite the thought of four kids “stressing” me.

“hey Martha, kids giving you trouble?” I ask as soon as I walk in

“not really honey, they’ve been angels today” she says while laughing at the kid’s attempt of making faces like she is

“how are my babies?” I sit with them as everyone struggles to climb mommy’s lap

Ray sits next to me instead and lets Ryder and the girls climb my lap while making baby noises. For a kid, he sure acts the part of being the oldest

“hey Martha, we’ve got a lot to do in short time, we’re all going to London tomorrow evening, there’s an emergency and I can’t leave the kids behind. Oh, you’re coming with.”

“umm Gigi, I don’t have a passport.” She says with a disappointed face, I know she’d love to travel outside the country

“really? I did not think of that. Here, have this one instead” I say to her while handing the passport I’ve had in my office since she started working for me. I had it prepped for her months ago but never gave it. I mean you can’t just give someone with no travel plans or the money to fund one a passport for a present, it’d be weird.

“should have seen that coming considering you’re Gigi” she says with a smile while taking the passports “thanks a lot kid” she adds then heads to the kitchen

I smile and continue playing with my babies till Martha comes and we feed them, which they eat heartily

“ok kids, bath time” the girls start clapping and saying some incoherent baby words while the boys just stare at me. It’s not hard to give them a bath, getting them in and out of the tab is usually the problem, and when I do is usually after I’m completely soaked
The sleep after having warm milk. I learnt this trick in their early days, warm milk makes them sleep

Packing is the hardest thing to do, two suitcases for the babies, one for me and another for Martha. Extra bottles, diaper and some of their toys were in the diaper bag. I went to bed after kissing my babies goodnight and thoughts of what the travel would bring. Although that weird feeling crept up my spine again, whether good or bad, only time would tell.
