Travelling with kids was no easy fit,  especially when they’re all toddlers and it’s four of them.  My assistant is great with kids,  together with Martha,  they were a huge help,  but now I have to sit awake all night cause my children all got fever.
It’s not a bad one but I need sleep if I’m going to attend that meeting tomorrow, not being well rested is not a good combo on me at all. I’ll be grumpy all day,  no matter how much coffee I drink.  (this is true for me)
I manage to get them sleep after getting them syrup,  hope they’ll be OK by morning.  All I have to do is sleep for the remaining 3 hours.

“Gigi,  wake up....  We’ll be late! “
That’s how my morning began with Lilly calling out by my bed. Somehow I slept through my alarm by an hour,  and that on the big day.
“kill me!  We have less than  30 minutes. And the kids are coming with,  so I can have them checked up later.  Go ahead and buy me time sissy”
I told Lilly while rushing around my bedroom, I just hope Martha has them ready else I’m completely doomed.
Never in my career have I been late to any meeting, not even the ones that are super annoying and don’t need me,  but here I am,  running around without having breakfast,  or just an apple, with baby bags in my hands... Oh wait,  I got the bags and not the babies,  I run back in pick up the girls while my assistant and Martha carry the boys and strap them in.

“I’m driving,  it’ll be faster “ I say hurrying to the driver’s side.
“update me “I say to my assistant while starting up the car
“Lilly says she’s trying her best to keep  them in the conference room but it’s getting harder by the second, and you have about 3 hours then you have the doctor’s appointment with the kids.  Their fever hasn’t gone away yet but we’re given the baby syrup but Rey isn’t that good “

Right now I’m wishing I  had left my babies,  they wouldn’t be sick! I know I wouldn’t leave them behind,  but still,  I’m a what if  kinda girl,  and right now it’s not helping my case.  I park the car and put the kids in the double strollers, I take the boys,  Martha the girls and head towards the elevators after showing my ID to security.

CHRIS’POV
I get up early for the appointment,  I can’t wait to meet this guy who’s taken every other business person with storm.  Wearing my neatest of suit,  the only coloured suit I own,  it’s wine red with a black shirt,  floral tie and a black pocket square.  Gigi bought them when we were together for luck...  I had worn it once before and for some reason a felt like it.

I took my time to look as good as I could,  I know I’m hot, but it doesn’t hurt to add a little bit of effort,  I also enjoy being intimidating,  that way,  I get what I want without qualms.
I pick my jeep today,  as you probably have guessed,  she loved big cars,  that’s if she wasn’t on her Harley (bike)  this jeep was her favourite.

I leave for the meeting early,  hope it won’t take too long,  and I’m hoping to make the cut easily,  anyways,  I must sound cocky to you,  but who doesn’t want to do business with the black industries?
Packing,  I get into the building,  same time as Lilly,  the acting CEO,  I’m surprised she’s late but don’t say a thing about it.
“morning miss,  you look drained “
“morning Mr Black,  I’m OK?”
Comes out more of a question though, I don’t say a word and neither does she,  till we reach the top and she shows me into the conference room where both teams are waiting.

“sorry gentlemen, ladies for showing up late, the boss will be here in a while, I’ll bring some refreshments in the mean time “

With that she leaves the room, leaves me thinking,  so  the boss is an arrogant prick who doesn’t care for time or people he keeps waiting,  I’m so deep in thought I don’t  see the coffee in front of me.  Well maybe if I get to be an investor you a partner I’ll teach him a little lesson on tardiness.
I’m soon deep in thought,  until I get the surprise of my life.

“I’m so sorry I kept you waiting, I promise not to let it happen again “

“no problem boss,  I know you wouldn’t be late if it wasn’t important “ a guy says from the table

I’m swallow on realising its a she not he before I  lift my face and almost get a heart attack.
