The Hill, BTS Apartment
The members were busy decorating the dorm for Namjoon's birthday while Namjoon was in Rkive. Jungkook and Chaeyoung were decorating with balloons while Lisa, Taehyung and Jimin were struggling with the fairy lights.
Yoongi, Jin and Jisoo were busy making the cake while Jennie and Hoseok were ordering dinner from a restaurant. It was a blessing for them that Namjoon decided to work even on his birthday.
"Hey Chae?" Jungkook called her as she was filling up a balloon with air, not from her mouth but a small balloon pump. "Yeah?" she asked as Jungkook looked towards her and asked, "you still can't fill a balloon?"
Chaeyoung rolled her eyes and said, "No, I can't." "Wow a straightforward answer, what happened to Park Chaeyoung?" he mocked her as she replied gravely, "Well a lot of things, starting with you insulting me in ninth grade."
"Why can't you just forget it?" Jungkook groaned for the nth time and Chaeyoung ignored him for the nth time. Jungkook slowly brought a balloon near her and popped it suddenly as Chae flinched.
She was always afraid of balloons popping from her childhood as she fumed and glared at Jungkook. "You are still a child," Jungkook giggled but shut himself up as he met Chaeyoung's gaze.
"Relax, I was kidding," he spoke softly as he quietly went back to filling balloons. The both were filling them up in Jimin and Hoseok's room.
To remove the awkward silence, Jungkook got up and turned on the recording of Taehyung's Christmas Tree. The calming song filled the room as Chaeyoung furrowed her brows, knowing that she had never heard the song.
