Hello, everybody! Good morning, afternoon, and/or evening to all of you!
If you may or may not have noticed, but this is the author speaking, who is, yours truly, MatrixGalaxy!
Now, you probably might be wondering what this announcement is and why I am posting this in the middle of this story, and you are about to learn all of the answers right now.
I am planning to put this story on hiatus.
...I, honestly, don't know if you're shocked or surprised by this announcement, but if you were, comment down anything dramatic (and don't be shy to be creative!).
Anyway, yes, you read that right; I will be putting this story on hiatus for a while.
Now, if you don't know what hiatus means, let me explain it to you briefly before we proceed, but if you already know what it means, then...good for you! (Not Olivia Rodrigo singing at the back👀)
"hiatus"
hi•a•tus
/hīādes/
— a pause or gap in a sequence, series, or process.
— U.S.: to cease being broadcast for a period of time.
(Thank you, Merriam-Webster Dictionary, for this lovely description.)Basically, hiatus or on hiatus means to take a break or rest or pause something, but does not necessarily mean that it would completely end.
You're, probably, wondering what my reason is for wanting to put this story on hiatus and...I, actually, have a lot of reasons.
First of all, I remembered being unable to finish this story around one to one and a half years ago because I am still a student, – meaning I have school to attend to – which stopped me a little from completing the story. It isn't safe to say for me that I kind of have trouble with balancing two different things at once in my hands. I wasn't really comfortable with the idea of making stories while focusing on my studies, which I know is not entirely a bad thing, but it is sort of like a habit in me that if there's something to do at school, I prioritize that first and it leaves me to abandon this story for a while until a school year is over and it's vacation time.
Second of all, the last time I have watched the series of "The Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir" was two and a half years ago (I think?) and I left it around a few episodes in season 3 before stopping because I wanted the entire season to be finished before I can watch it again. However, at that time, I didn't like how season 3 was coming about and now that I've heard from my friends (who have also watched the series) and some other viewers/fans, who watched it continuously, about what was happening to the story and the characters, themselves. It's unfortunate to say that I got disappointed with...everything.
[ WARNING: some spoilers on the next and following statements. ]
I don't really care for spoilers that much, so I don't have a problem whenever I see them popping up in my recommendations in YouTube or on my feed in some social medias, but —
I was completely dumbfounded when I heard that they trashed Chloé's character into the dumps and made her give up her Bee Miraculous because her identity is revealed, which is pretty hypocritical to the fact that Ladybug let Alya become Rena Rouge despite that they knew her identity (and, honestly, that was also a little too quick for me even though I can tell from the start that the Fox Miraculous was for her, anyway), and chose to give it to a new character, who looks like a mash-up of Marinette and Chloé, who wasn't even in the first two seasons and has no proper build up as to why she gets to be the new Bee Miraculous Holder. I was completely rooting for Chloé to have her redemption because I can see the greatness that lies within her that makes her deserving to have that miraculous. Although, this would be the pacifist in me speaking because I, usually, want everyone to become friends in the end or, at least, have some kind of goodness in them, but Chloé really could've been that!
