There's a Spider (Camilo & Mirabel)

I wanna try to brighten things up a little bit with these previous chapters being kind of sad.

Prompt: Mirabel and Camilo spot a spider in the kitchen and freak out.

Got this idea from that vine: There's a spider...What you want me to do it?...

Camilo and Mirabel were both standing on their chairs in the kitchen, freaking out at the small, eight-legged creature on the ground.

Well, Mirabel was freaking out over the spider. Camilo was just on the table, trying to figure out what Mirabel was freaking out over.

"Camilo," Mirabel screeched. 

"What," he screeched back, somewhat anxious about whatever, and partially in mocking of his prima.

"There's a spider," she told him, pointing to where the arachnid was sitting and staring at them. Camilo looked and his eyes widened. Now he understood.

"Well what do you expect me to do about that, Mirabel," he exclaimed, not moving from on top of the table.

"Kill it," Mirabel yelled as she continued to freak out.

Camilo looked over to her in shock. "You saw it first--you kill it!"

"Camilo, please," Mirabel begged as she kept her eyes on the spider.

"What you need me to kill it for? You get over there and kill it!"

Mirabel quickly looked over at her primo. "You're the man!"

The fear was soon replaced by annoyance when she saw Camilo shapeshift and was now looking at herself.

"Since when?"

"Camilo, please," she repeated her plea from earlier.

Before Camilo could tell her no again, Antonio walked into the room, smiling at the spider and letting it crawl on his hand.

"Don't kill him," Antonio told the two of them. Camilo and Mirabel watched, Camilo shifting back into himself as Antonio pet the spider. "He's just trying to get back to his wife and kids. Isn't that right Kevin?"

"Kevin," the fifteen year olds chorused, standing there as Antonio continued to pet the spider with his pointer finger.

Antonio nodded. "That's his name, and he wants you to know that he's friendly and didn't mean to scare you. He asks that you refrain from killing him so he can continue to provide for his family."

With that, Antonio walked away with the spider still in his hand. Mirabel and Camilo just looked at each other in confusion, flinching when Abuela walked into the kitchen.

"What are you two doing standing on the kitchen table," she asked angrily. "¡Bajense de la mesa!"

With that, the cousins scrambled off the table, apologizing to Abuela as they hurried away.
