*María's POV*

Both Mirabel and I started to walk back to Casita. We spoke in hushed tones so no one could listen to us. Us whispering about why Luisa's eye was twitching or what we would expect in Bruno's tower but we made sure to talk about Bruno extremely quiet so not just the towns people wouldn't hear but so the all hearing Madrigal.....Dolores wouldn't snitch to the whole familia. 

When we reached Casita I quickly put away the food that I would be serving to our guests later. Casita happily putting them in her cabinet's. We both sit down at the table, I wait for Mirabel to give us ideas. she started to open her mouth but I put a finger to my lips. she shut her mouth again. I pull out a piece of paper from my sketchbook that was in my satchel. 

We can't speak Dolores will hear us

I write. She swiftly takes the pencil and paper from my hand.

Smart move! Now, for the plan!

She looks up at me and I nod for her to continue. She starts writing again.

I want you to keep an eye out and I'll go into Bruno's tower, make sure no one
knows I'm in there, got it?

I frown and steal the paper back.

But you could get hurt! I can't risk that!

She sighs and carefully takes the paper back from me.

I promise to be careful, then when I come back I will tell you everything,
all you have to do is distract them, okay?

She looks up at me hopefully. When I read it I sigh.

'Fine' I mumble and cross my arms. Mirabel just jumps up and down in her seat. She then jumps towards me wrapping me in her arms.

'Gracias María!' She squeals. I giggle and hug her back. I pull back after a minute and nudge my head forward. She immediately catches on and scurries away from me to the direction where I presume her Tío Bruno tower is. I chuckle and stuff the papers away in my satchel.

I go back to the rest of my chores for the day while keeping a close eye on everyone to make sure no one was looking for Mirabel. Now I was humming mi Mama's song while I swept the floor every now and then twirling in my spot with the brush in my hand like it was Camilo twirling me. My cheeks burned a bit.

'Oi! Get back to work!' I quickly turning around, dropping the brush in the process. I am greeted by Sofia, Olivia and Victoria. I quickly scrambled to get the brush off the floor and kept on sweeping. 'What and idiota (idiot)' Victoria snarls at me. I just ignore her. I feel a hand roughly grasp my shoulder and swing me around. I was now face to face with Victoria with Olivia and Sofia by her side. They had red faces. I gulped and tried to get free from her grasp. 'How dare you ignore me! I was talking to you! How dare you be so rude and mean! How immature can you be! How-'

'Well she's definitely a lot nicer and kinder than you all and she actually does her work unlike you!' I look over my shoulder and see Camilo with his hands clenched into fists and an alarming angered face. I sigh in relief when I see him.
