"William, I'm pregnant."
The 24-years-old Kate breathed out these words. And then collapsed onto the bed.
After a moment of shock, William sat next to her, trying to act calm and think logically, "First of all, is it mine?"
"Yes!" the woman started sobbing again.
She felt her world melting down. Everything she'd built for her to marry the prince she had a crush on since 20 years ago would be gone. She would be forced to be separated from him, and this child would never see their father. That is if Catherine got to keep it.
"Do you want to keep it?"
"Well, I- I don't know. She (the Queen) will probably not let me keep it."
"No Kate, I'm asking about you," Will ran his hands across her chin, wiping away some tears.
"I want it if I can have it," Catherine understands how her boyfriend feels, and understandingly, she stopped crying. She knows that they are in this together.
"I as well..." he trailed off, "I will tell them (Charles and the Queen) about it."
William picked up his phone and saw Kate staring at him blankly, realizing something, he wrapped his arms around her and whispered softly, "The worst that could happen is losing it, I will not leave you or our baby no matter what they say okay?" Seeing how her features softened, he continued, "as long as it's mine, I will take full responsibility for it. We will get married and we three will be as happy as anyone shall ever be..."
William repeated words such as these to her as if saying a prayer, both of them hoping that the more they repeated them, the more true they will become.

Considering many factors, the institution allowed Kate and William to keep the child. I bet all of the readers of this book are glad because that is where our story begins...
