You crumple the map into a ball before throwing it aside.

Hopefully no one will be able to read it like I will.

You quickly rush through the halls as you try to reach Dami.

I only have five or six hours left. Who knows what could happen in that time?

You nervously ponder about what to say and do before reaching your shared bedroom.

It's the first time that I've seen any of them in years. What do I say to Sua, Siyeon, and Gahyeon? Sorry for getting you killed; I'll try not to do it again.

And what about JiU? How will she react to the fact that I've moved on? She fell for me just as deeply as I fell for her, but I don't feel that sort of love for her anymore. I hope she's still doing well.

You hear multiple voices from Dami's door, and you take a deep breathe.

It's now or never. Get the emerald necklace, search the castle for JiU's bracelet, and then confront Yoohyeon and take the pendant from her. You've got this, Y/N!

You place a hand on the door handle, and you're about to twist the door open, but a voice stops you.

"Y/N! It's been so long since I've last seen you!"

You plaster a fake smile on your face as you turn to greet the crown royal herself.

"Yoohyeon, it's nice to see you as well."

"Are you sure that you don't want to murder Yoohyeon? I mean, the three of us can help with that-"

"No, murder doesn't make me any better than she is. I need to out-think her in order to live." Dami interrupts SuA, who sighs deeply.

"Murder's way more fun, though."

"Yeah, but it doesn't help us get what we want." Handong interjects.

"How do you know what we want?" Siyeon folds her arms and leans back against the wall.

"I'm a ghost like you, Siyeon. It's not hard to read your mind."

"Dongie-"

"Stop arguing." JiU commands, and Siyeon and Handong immediately direct their eyes to JiU. "We're just wasting time by doing this. We should be listening to Dami since she's the only living one here."

"I agree." Gahyeon speaks up after observing the conversation. "Dami's never led any of us astray."

"Ugh, I hate when you all make valid points." SuA huffs before sitting down in a nearby chair.

Siyeon rolls her eyes.

"Agreed."

JiU glances over to Dami and smiles.

"Go on, tell us how we can help."

"Yoohyeon, she-" Dami pauses for a moment, trying to think of what to say next.

How do I tell them that Yoohyeon's going to kill Y/N? That doesn't even seem like a legitimate threat to me, but it's Yoohyeon we're talking about. I need to be cautious at all costs.

Dami takes a deep breath before continuing.

"Yoohyeon said she's going to kill Y/N if I don't show up for the duel."

Gahyeon, Siyeon, and JiU all gasp in unison. Handong looks away uncomfortably as SuA is the only one who dares to speak.
