"Yoohyeon."

"Ah, Dami, it's wonderful to see you again. You've bought some friends with you, right?" Yoohyeon says while calming walking into the hall.

Don't show them how scared you are. You've got this, Yoohyeon. You can play the part of a dictator long enough for Y/N to save you. Besides, they gave you an enchanted sword and the ability to see ghosts with a couple spells. You'll be fine. You're in good hands.

Yoohyeon takes a deep breathe before facing her opponent.

"What, do you not have anything to say?"

"You don't deserve my words or time. Let's just get this over with." Dami sighs as the ghost gather around her in a defensive form.

JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, and Gahyeon look so different. I guess death does that to you.

"Not yet. Tell your ghost friends to back off. This is between us, and us alone." Yoohyeon emphasizes.

"Fine." Dami waves the ghosts away, and they disappear from Yoohyeon's sight for a moment.

I can't believe I'm doing this. How could I possible hurt an innocent person with my bare hands? Be brave, Yoohyeon!

"I don't want to hurt you, Dami." Yoohyeon mutters under her breath before pulling out her sword.

She carefully positions her hand on the sword as her nerves swarm her head.

I can't do this. I'm not an executioner. I'm a guard who supports fairness, loyalty, and what's in the best interest for the kingdom. This isn't me, and I can't be like this.

Yoohyeon takes another deep breath, and her stance falters before someone charges at her.

"This is for Y/N-ah, you bitch!"

You haphazardly race through the halls as you feel your time grow shorter.

It's nearly midnight, or it might be after midnight. I don't know, and I don't think I want to know. I just hope Yoohyeon is alright. I gave her some tools that should help, but I still worry about her.

Your senses draw you to the ballroom, even though you weren't sure where they all were.

Dami must be using a lot of magic because I can feel it radiating from that room. I'm nearly there, Yoohyeon! Please hold on a little bit longer!

You spot the ballroom doors, and you immediately increase your pace to its maximum.

I can save Yoohyeon from whatever fate she is facing. I've got the tools to do so.

You fish the bracelet out of your pocket before you stop in front of the door.

I don't know what this bracelet is doing for JiU, but it has to do with her appearing on the map that I created.

Without wasting another moment, you slam the doors open and charge into the ballroom.

Do not fear. Do not fear. Do not fear. Do not-

"STOP!" You scream before holding up the bracelet. "EVERYONE NEEDS TO STOP, OR I'LL DESTROY THIS BRACELET!"

~

Dami had given the others' permission to lead the fight, but she didn't expect it to turn out this way.

It's like Yoohyeon isn't fighting back. This isn't the same Yoohyeon that has been around for the last two years. Something must have happened.

Dami didn't say anything, but she simply watched as SuA and Handong take on Yoohyeon.

Gahyeon whimpers before hiding in Siyeon's shoulder.

"I can't watch! Tell me when it's over."

Siyeon hums before rubbing Gahyeon's back.

"I will, and you can hide here for as long as you would like."

JiU steps forward into Dami's sightline.

"Is this right, Dami? Are w really doing the right thing?"

"I... I don't know anymore. Yoohyeon doesn't look like she's fighting back." Dami admits after a moment of silence.

JiU softly gasps.

"You're right... We need to get SuA and Handong off of her. Maybe she's calm enough that we can talk things over."

Dami looks to JiU.

"Should we?"

JiU takes a deep breath before looking at Dami.

"That's for you to decide. I can't help you make decisions, but I can remind you of one thing: think about what's important to you."

Dami places a hand over her fast beating heart.

This isn't right, and I should've known that. Yoohyeon doesn't deserve to die for her crimes, especially not like this. I have to stop this, not only for my sake.

"Y/N wouldn't want this at all. I have to stop them."

JiU smiles at Dami before placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Good. You've come to your senses. Let's end this before SuA and Handong can do more damage."

JiU nods at Dami, who nods right back at her.

I can't sit back and watch people hurt each other. I have to intervene, even if I don't want to.

JiU and Dami take a step forward, but they stop with the sound of the doors being slammed open.

Who could that be?

"STOP!" You yell while running into the room.

You tightly clutch a bracelet of sorts in your hand, and you dangle it in the air so everyone can see.

You stop once everyone can see you.

"EVERYONE NEEDS TO STOP, OR I'LL DESTROY THIS BRACELET!"

Yoohyeon never thought that her biggest adversaries on the battlefield would be SuA and Handong, but life is simply full of surprises for Yoohyeon. Yet again, Yoohyeon was barely trying to fight back against them so maybe she was a match for them.

I could overpower them, but I don't want to. I deserve this fate. If what Y/N says is true, then I deserve to die a death like this. I know Y/N wouldn't lie to me about something that serious.

Yoohyeon purposefully misses a jab of her sword, and SuA immediately takes advantage of her opponent's moment of weakness.

"God, I should've done this years ago."

SuA snatches the sword from Yoohyeon, who willingly lets the sword go.

I deserve this because I hurt you so badly. I can't deny what you're saying because it's all true.

Handong forces Yoohyeon to the ground, and she willingly looks them in the eyes as SuA raises the sword over her head.

"Any last words?" SuA says. "I'll at least give you that mercy since I didn't get to have any last words."

"Don't give her that luxury." Handong hisses. "Let's end this, here and now."

SuA is about to swing the sword downwards, but a piercing voice stops her.

"STOP!" You yell before charging into the room.

Y/N, you're here!

You stop before thrusting a bracelet into the air. Yoohyeon watches as SuA slowly lowers the sword to her side.

You found it! I knew you would do it, Y/N.

"EVERYONE NEEDS TO STOP, OR I'LL DESTROY THIS BRACELET!"
