Chapter 2

A/N sorry it took so long to update. I had to focus on Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then I got a job. I'm gonna try to update on one of my days off each week but I make no promises. I really only started this for me. I had no idea people would actually like it and read it, and also vote for it. Thank you so very much for liking my story so far. Oh b4 I start I just want to say that I'm still having trouble coming up with a name for Kaiya's kekkai genkai. If any of you has any thoughts on it comment them to me and I may pick the one I like the most.

Kaiya's pov

I just left Shika and Choji at the academy and I'm on my way to meet up with my dad. He said that he would meet me at the K.I.A. stone after he visits my new partner's homes.

'As much as I would prefer to be on Shika and Choji's team, I am glad that I finally get to spend time with my cousin.' I thought.

I hate that the elders wouldn't let me get to know Naruto growing up. They may have given me some rubbish reason for it but I can't remember it. Luckily the last time I was in their presence I dug through their memories and found out the true reason. Naruto has to find out who his parents are on his own.

'At least I can tell him we're related when the time is right.' I thought as I finally reach the K.I.A. stone.

I kneel down and run my fingers over my mom and uncle's names.

"Hi mom, hi uncle Minato. How are you guys today? *sigh* I wish you guys were still here with us. I would have loved having you around. Anyway, I'm finally going to be put on a team. Naruto is going to be there. At least I hope he his. First he, as well as the other two, has to pass dad's test." I say to the stone hoping they will hear me. I sense my dad walking up to me.

"Do you think they will pass?" He asks me.

"I'm not sure, dad. Why don't you ask me again after we meet them? That way I can see and hear what they are like before I make a decision." I say still running my fingers over my mom's and uncle's names.

"There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about them."

I look up a little and find the names of my dad's teammates. Rin Nohara and Obito Uchiha, two more people who were important to my dad that died before I was born.

"I wish I could've met them."

"They would have loved you. Your mom is proud of you, you know that right?"

"How can you know she is?" I whisper.

"Because I am proud of you pup." I turn to look up at my dad with tears in my eyes. "All she wanted for you was for you to grow up to be a strong, kind, and happy girl. And you are all those things and more pup."

I stand up and hug my dad around the waist. He wraps his arms around my small frame and places a kiss on my forehead. "Though I'm not sure how she would feel about your choice in clothing."

I giggle a bit. "That's just cause you don't like my clothes."

"They are to revealing. You're only 12 years old, you should be wearing more then that." (A/n remember the pick in chapter 1 just imagine she has ninja shorts on under the bottom)

"My clothes are fine dad." I say as I pull out of the hug. "You can't see anything important since I have shorts on. TenTen helped me pick it out on our mission. She recommended the fishnet shirt under the top and the shorts under the bottom."

"*Sigh* I suppose you're right. You're just growing up so fast pup. I can't help be a bit overprotective of you. Wait, you don't like a boy do you? You didn't start dressing like this to impress a boy right?"
