A week passed, still with Clay on delivered. George likes to think he's doing the right thing. The better thing for him.
Although he's not sure how much longer he can deal with this whole situation.

"I'm back!" Karl sang as he walked into his shared dorm.
He threw off his shoes and plopped on his bed.

"Didya miss me?" He asked, smiling in Georges direction.

George smiled back, "No." He joked.

Karl was just coming back from a night spent with his boyfriend Nick. It was a thing he did often. Although George didn't mind, that just means more alone time for him.
Full of thoughts..

The text still looks just as tempting as it did at first.

"Anything new?" Karl asked, still looking at George.

"Shut up." George laughed.

"What!"

George sat up, "I know what you're doing, idiot."

Karl sent furrowed eyebrows and pursed lips instead of answering.

"You're asking if I texted him back, right?" George explained once Karl still didn't respond.

"Duh! Of course I am!" Karl threw up his arms, "It's been 2 weeks, just answer him." He practically begged.

In the last couple of days, Karls been on Georges dick about answering Clay back. George continued to tell him that he had no plan to reply.

George raised an eyebrow and shrugged, going back on tiktok. He heard a long sigh escape Karls mouth.

The next few moments were silent, until Karl spoke up again.
"Guess what?" He asked while getting nail polish out of his desk drawer.

"Chicken butt." George snickered.

"No no, not this time," Karl sat down with his chosen color, "Nicks birtnday is today!"

George hummed, trying to seem amused. The other definitely noticed.

"I'm telling you this because he's having a party later tonight." Karl continued, even after Georges attempt at rejecting the conversation.

"Not at the-"

Karl cut him off, "At the frat? Yeah."

George sighed. Loud and obnoxious enough to get his point across to Karl.

"I knoww you don't like the house," Karl pouted, "but it's his birthday George."

"Birtnday schmerthday, I don't care." George stated, once again getting back to his phone.

"He said you're invited."

"Cool don't care."

"There will be drinks!"

"Didn't ask."

"You need to have fun." Karl said at last.

It the one thing he had been nonstop reminding George of. And every time he falls for it.

And George knows that Clay will be there. Then again there will be drinks.
Who can say no to that?

He should've said no to that.

It's been one hour into this birthday party, at this point you couldn't even call it a birthday party. It was like any other frat party.
George has been to two in his college years, the second one ending with the worst day of his life.
