Stacey was woken up by the sound of knocking on the front door. She had fallen asleep on the sofa and she didn't even had the motivation to get changed.
Another knock and she groaned as she pushed herself off the sofa, 'I'm coming!' She yelled as she straightened her hair out before answering the door properly.
She was met with a young woman, a little shorter than her, had short black hair that grazed her shoulders and she wore a pink halterneck top and dark denim jeans.

Not a bad style if you'd ask me.

The womans smile was so big, it looked like it could rip off her face, 'hey! You're the new person who moved in yesterday!'
She held out a cake, 'I'm Diana, I love a few houses down from you, I was home yesterday and I noticed the movers truck outside this house, I made a cake'.
Stacey was rather shocked to have someone at her door straight away, 'oh! Uh, thank you... Would you like to come inside for a bit?'

She really shouldn't, you haven't even unpacked shit!

Diana smiled, 'sure! I hope I'm not intruding other anything... I know you just asked me but I-'.

Stacey chuckled, 'it's fine Diana, you can come in, I just gotta get the fridge going and I'll place the cake in there, I kind of wanna have a proper breakfast'.
Diana chuckled at the comment.

'I understand'.

When she stepped inside she looked around.

Don't judge! Please don't judge, I've only just moved here!

'Hey, if we keep in touch, I'd love to see how this is when you spice it up! Maybe I can help you out?'

Stacey realised that her tastes were rather bland and it would be rather smart to have someone who knew what current style was out, 'yeah sure, that'd be wonderful'.

'I'd understand if you find me a little too much-'.

'What? Too much? A little... 'I think you're wonderful, in fact, I appreciate that you made the time and effort to meet me, I not really great at making new friends'.

Diana placed the cake on the island bench, 'oh I was like that, when I got here, no one came to my door and greeted me with cakes or anything, not that it matters'.

I think it did, but oh well.

'I managed to find some people when I went out, and now we've been with each other for a while. So when you're settled in, I can take you to them, if you'd like?'

Stacey took the opportunity, 'yeah sure, that's be lovely', now it's time to get the fridge working, she obviously looked rather clueless when she was looking at the large freezer box because Diana jumped, 'here I'll give you a hand, we just need to find the main power switch, it'll turn everything on'.

'Jesus, I'm glad you came around, I'd have to eat food that doesn't require being in the fridge'.

Stacey laughed and Diana shrugged, 'I've done that before, I recommend not doing that', she fumbled around for a few moments before Stacey heard a click.

'There, that should do it, we'll wait a few moments to see if it begins to get cold'.

'Thanks for that... You going anywhere? I could make you a drink or something?'

'I'm as free as a bird, I've finished work for the day, also mentioning work, I can help you gind emplotment here as well if you'd like?'

Stacey was so glad that someone was willing to help her now, 'that's perfect, I really appreciate this'.
Diane waved her off, 'no problem, anyway I take coffe, white with one sugar... If you have coffee and milk and-'.

'Yeah, don't worry, I brought some groceries along with me'.

Stacey chuckled, 'I wouldn't leave myself hanging completley off the ledge in this move'.

You nearly did you idiot.
