Ever since she left Sofia's place and found herself in the Continetal, she seemed more at ease, especially when Marcus was with her.
'So... How'd you get me here? I took a taxi'.
Marcus smirked, 'Sofia knew you would so she managed to hack the systems to see the route you were taking, which then helped me catch up to you. Easy knock out gas took you down- sorry about that'.
Stacey didn't know how to react to that piece of information, was she angry? Or was she impressed?
I mean, both because damn.
She looked over to see Marcus on the phone, the smile was gone from his face and she instantly knew that something was wrong. When he hung up he looked down at the counter for a few moments before looking up at her.
'He's coming'.
Oh fuck! Oh fuck fuck fuck!
She began to panic and Marcus had to grab her by the shoulders, 'shhh, look, I know John, he's not going to hurt us, he's certainly not going to hurt you, alright?'
He tried his best to calm her, but Stacey was having a hard time believing him, after seeing what John could do? She was terrified and that feeling was terrible.
'He's gonna kill us!'
She got up from where she was sitting, 'he's gonna be so angry!' Marcus joined her side, 'he will be angry, but not for long, he'll be happy that you're safe, especially at the Continental'.
'Are you sure about that? He told me that he had been attacked! That's why he's being hunted right now!'
Marcus closed his eyes for a few moments before speaking, 'you can head to your room, I will deal with him when he gets here, alright?'
Stacey wanted to go against him, but she knew that Marcus was the one standing between her and John, he would be the one to talk to John.
She turned and ran to the elevator, not even looking back at Marcus to say thank you.
She was bloody terrified.
