"Your majesty" The knight entered the tent, standing tall and saluting to the man. "We have turned the manor upside and questioned all of the staff. There's an entire 2 day period of the family being last seen." The knight said.
"King Endeavor may I suggest putting up a wanted sign." Native spoke up. "Making this more public make give a better ch-" Nervously he stopped as the king raised his hand."Do you know what would happen if the public knows Tengu, especially one of the takami's power is out, roaming the streets like a commoner?" Endeavor asked the table of generals. Heads stayed looking down at the smooth wooden table, as the Massive king walked around. A knight in heavy metal armor walked into the tent followed by a new general. Quietly looking while standing still. The tent somehow seemed much wider inside but still empty. The large wooden table that the others sat was in the center of the tent.
"That is what I thought. All of you are dismissed." Endeavor waved off his generals, as he made his way back to his chair. "Kamui sit, I wish to talk to you." He added. The generals rushed out, some silently giving the poor man good luck signs before departing the tent. The air was heavy as the two men sat away from each other.
"Kamui you were close with the Takami boy right?" Kamui nodded. They were indeed close. With Kamui having spent a few months working for them directly. He and Hawks would spend countless hours working on the mansion's large back garden. They would spend hours eating fruit and playing with random animals after Hawks would convince him to take a 'small' break'. He still remembers Hawks' mother yelling at him to leave Kamui alone so he can work in peace, in which Hawks mock her when she left or turned around.
"I'm putting you as Head of finding that man and his spawns." Endeavor declared, not looking up from the long list of documents.
"My King, may I ask why? I am not nearly as experienced as anyone in the Iida family." Kamui questioned. Wondering how someone with barely any qualifications was the best choice. Even the oldest son Tensei, of the renowned Iida family, who despite his young age was already proving to be a swordsman prodigy. Showing
"Kamui have you ever encountered wild yokai?" Endeavor put down the pen. The general nodded slowly not wanting to look confused.
"When I was younger I would go out and there was this tree that was home to Kodama. I would go out and try to build little shrines dedicated to them." Kamui smiled, happily remembering his childhood. Picturing the few years his family lived in the mountains before moving. The early spring/summer mornings of him and his brother sneaking off after breakfast with offerings. "It wasn't much but they really seemed to like it. I'd like to think that they did protect our home before we moved. I wish to go there again before Winter." He sighed before refocusing on the main topic. "But I must decline if possible."
"Kodama have been known to curse people they do not favor." "Kamui I chose you for this because I trust your abilities. Now come back and you will be paired with some other generals. For now why don't you go back outside and look around. Understand your new control area." Endeavor sat back down, waving him off.
"Yes your majesty." He bowed one finally time before leaving the tent. Groups of servants were huddled together. Composing of gardeners, chefs, maids and butlers and more. Some older maids were having a back and flirt with knights.
"General please try your best to find the masters and the dear children." A maid from one huddle stepped up to him. Kamui recognized her as the head nurse. The group was compiled of 10 women.
"I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE NEED FOR ALL THIS FUSS. HE'D MOST LIKELY WITH THAT MAN HE'S ALWAYS WITH DOWN AT THE NEAREST TAB." One nurse in the group scoffed, fixing her blonde hair. Turning back to lift up a fallen tree. Kamui took a good look at her. She had long blonde hair up to her back, a large green scarf was tied to her wrist, which led into the next obvious realization. (SHE IS NOT NAKED) She was large. 40 feet tall large. Picking up and putting trees down with ease. Kamui sighed, realizing this giant was the best candidate for any background information. Especially concerning the man Hawks was apparently always with. He walked up towards her, trying not to get hit by a tree or stray branch.
"Umm excuse me ma'am!" A fast swing of leaves and a faster duck left him a bit stunned.
"HMMM OH HI!" The giant happily said. Putting the tree down to pick up the man. "AREN'T YOU CUTE! LIKE A LITTLE TWIG!" The giant lady cooed, cupping him between her hands.
As"Hello yes. I just want to ask you a few questions, if that's okay with you?" Kamui tried to seem calm. But for some reason being nearly 40 feet above the ground was making that difficult. Slowly the servants and guards start returning to their normal size. He carefully stepped down from giant's palm. Watching as the giant shrunk down to a regular size. Using the green scarf that was once wrapped around her wrist as a make shift dress. "Thank you for cooperating Ms?"
"Yu Takeyama, call me Mt.Lady. This will be quick right?"
"Yes ma'am. Let's go."
