MAL, Evie, Jay, Carlos and Ophelia were led inside a room where five chairs were.
"First you, Jay." Gerald ordered.
Jay raised a brow. "What are y'all going to do to me?"
Gerald sighed. "Guards,"
A guard, Pete, grabbed Jay by the arm and forced him to sit on a chair.
A lady walked in and took out a scissor.
"Stay still now, young man." The lady said.
Jay paled. "No," he protested. "Let go of me! I refuse to let you cut my hair!"
Gerald yelled, "Shut it, thief! I make the rules here!"
The haircut lady, Mrs Cutt, sighed. This happened every time. Honestly, they didn't pay her enough to deal with this.
Mrs Cutt took Jay's hair and frowned. "Such nice hair. So smooth and silky. Too bad we're going to have to cut it."
Jay felt like he could cry. "Not my hair," he muttered.
Mrs Cutt cut his hair and Jay wanted to sob at the sight of his previous hair being cut.
An eternity of torture later, Mrs Cutt announced, "All done, Jay. You can go now."
Jay felt numb without his precious hair. It was short now. And he wouldn't even have his chopped off hair to hold a funeral. It was truly tragic.
"You're next, Carlos!" Gerald barked.
Carlos blinked but sat down on a chair.
Mrs Cutt examined his hair. "Hmm. Let's bleach it. That'll look neat."
Carlos was led out by Johnny, another guard, to Mrs Dyer's room, where she would bleach his hair.
Carlos wasn't too bothered by bleaching his hair. His hair was already kind of bleached.
"Now, you, Mal." Lucy said. "Go on."
Mal walked over to Mrs Cutt, feeling nervous.
"Hmm." Mrs Cutt said. "Maybe you should go blonde."
Mal blinked. "Blonde?"
"Yes, blonde." Mrs Cutt said. "You'll have to go to Griselda Dyer for going blonde."
Mal was led out by Nick, another guard.
"Evie," Lucy said. "Go on."
Evie took in a deep breath and walked over to Mrs Cutt who examined her hair.
"Hmm. Ask Griselda to dye it brown." Mrs Cutt said, waving at a guard, Diego, to help Evie go to Mrs Dyer.
"Ophelia, your turn." Lucy said frostily. She was still bitter about Gerald - the only person she's loved - to be the father of Zevon, who happened to be Ophelia's brother, adoptive or not.
Ophelia walked over to Mrs Cutt, a skip in her step.
"Good day, Mrs Cutt," she said cheerfully.
"Oh - um, good day." Mrs Cutt said, obviously quite surprised.
"Let's see," She said. "Hmm. We'll just cut your hair so that it reaches your shoulders."
"Ooh, I think I'll look cute!" Ophelia said.
Lucy, Gerald and Mrs Cutt looked surprised. The only other person to react that way was Dizzy Tremaine, who graduated within an hour.
Mrs Cutt cut Ophelia's hair. After a little while, she announced, "It's all done!"
Ophelia thanked her and followed Lucy to the girl dorms, which she would be sharing with Cj, Yzla, Harriette, Uma, Mal and Evie.
Mal and Evie still looked pretty even with their hair dyed.
Mal grinned as Lucy left.
"Ophelia, I have a plan."
