FLASHBACK: HOW GERALD TERRY AND GOTHEL ARE ZEVON'S PARENTS

GERALD Terry was feeling bored. Adam, the king of Auradon, had made him go to the Isle of the Lost and check if all the villains were behaving.

Who did he think Gerald was? A babysitter for the villains?

That was why he was at the local villain pub run by Clayton, the villain from Tarzan.

Gerald had spent the day at the Isle and - after finding out Adam would only send a limo the next day - had decided to check the pub out.

It was around midnight now, and Gerald was getting ready to go to some secluded corner to sleep in until the morning.

He bumped into a beautiful, curly haired woman. She looked like she wanted to yell, but - upon seeing the expensive watch he was wearing and his wallet, that had cash sticking out - smiled seductively at him instead.

"Well, hello," She said. "Who are you?"

Now, normally, Gerald would rather die than interact with a villain but he had had a little too much to drink that night and the woman looked very attractive.

"Gerald Terry." He said in a posh voice.

"Never heard of you," She said casually. "But never mind that. Are you rich, Gerald Terry?"

She leaned towards him. Their faces were centimeters apart.

"Um- yes," Gerald said.

The woman hummed. "Interesting."

And next thing you know, she had led him to an abandoned little house and they - um, well - slept together.

When he woke up the next morning, with his memory still hazy, he was alone. She was gone. He looked down to check the time, only to see that his watch was gone.

He checked his pockets. His wallet was gone too! The witch had stolen them!

The limo had arrived at that time and Gerald hurried in, feeling angry.

Gothel smirked as he left, throwing the now empty wallet out in the streets and counting the money she stole.

Three months later she found out she was pregnant, much to her horror. When the spawn had been born - it was a boy, meaning she couldn't train it to be like her - she had, at midnight, left him in the marketplace to either get adopted or to die.

A woman was in the marketplace, buying potion supplies when she heard a baby cry. She would've normally ignored it - she was a villain after all - but she had a daughter. She remembered her child crying at random times and couldn't help but check where the baby was and why the baby was crying.

She found a baby boy, barely a day old, crying his little heart out. Her heart couldn't take it and she picked him up and consoled him.

"There there, child," She said. "It's all okay."

"He was abandoned, madam," A shopkeeper informed.

She let out a hum. "Very well, I'm taking him in. Yzla has been getting lonely. She could do with a brother. Kronk will come by later to get ingredients to make a blood transfer potion."

She walked to her little home. Yzla was, as expected, happy to have a new playmate. Yzma took out the Groové box. All she had to do was transfer some of the baby boy's blood to the little compartment in the box and he would be recognized as part of the family from then on.

Speaking of the boy, Yzma decided to name him.

"Yzla, dearest, what should mommy name your baby brother?"

Yzla thought for a while. "Zevon," She announced.

Yzma chuckled. "Zevon it is, then."
