Yuki slowly opened her eyes and found herself in a familiar bedroom. She slammed her hand down on the ringing alarm clock, switching it off before beginning her morning routines.
She looked at the clock on her room wall, checking the time.
4:00am
She grabbed a slice of last night's pizza from the fridge before heading out.
She walked down the street to the bus stop, boarding a bus to her coffee shop.
She walked into the coffee shop, opening early. She began brewing some fresh batches of coffee and placed freshly baked cookies, bagels, doughnuts, pretzels, Cakes, croissants and cupcakes in the display glass.
She tapped her foot impatiently on the wooden floor and the sound echoed through the empty café. After a few minutes of standing around doing nothing she went behind the counter and sighed as she grabbed a cup. She slowly poured coffee into the cup as steam rose and evaporated into the air.
Jingle
"Welcome to Sugar 'N Cream how can I help you" Yuki quickly dropped a cup of coffee that she was holding.
It was the guy from yesterday.
"Can I have a cup of caramel macchiato and glazed doughnuts to go"
"Okay I'll have your order ready in 5 minutes"
Yuki prepared the caramel macchiato, handing it over to him.
"What time do you close?" He asked as he fiddled with his order.
"I close by 8 p.m." Yuki said, surprised he decided to talk to her aside his order.
"Why?"
"Because people don't normally drink coffee at night" she raised an eyebrow
"Sorry that's not what I meant I meant how much will it cost me to have you close later" he apologized trying to explain himself
"I'm sorry but I don't think I can close anything later than 8 and I'm sure that the coffee shop three blocks away will still be open until 11 p.m." she said that as she started cleaning the counters with a towel.
"Actually I like the coffee you make" he quickly said.
"That's the first, most people come here because they can't handle the crowd of the other coffee shop" Yuki tried not to smile.
"Yes I actually do so I'm usually free by 8:15 and it takes about 10 minutes to get here and that will be 8:25 so would you still have the shop open by 8:30"
"Okay I will still be open by 8:30 for a Die hard customer" she gave a warm smile and she agreed to his request.
"Thanks my name is Todoroki Shoto by the way" he smiled back, stretching out his hand.
"And I am Yuki" she accepted, shaking him.
He gave her a brief smile as he took his order and walked out of the coffee shop. Yuki continued taking orders of customers who entered after him.
