Chapter 9

I dedicate this chapter to IgirisuHetalia. She's a huge inspiration of mine, and I love reading her work and using her techniques in my own writing.

(Time skip one month later)

(Minx's POV)

It's been a very busy month.

Chilled has been a huge help. He takes care of the kids when I need to take a break, and he is always supportive of everything I do.

Currently, he's rocking with Connor, as Duke Ze is holding Micayla. Our babies are doing well at one month.

I had started making dinner when I felt two arms wrap around. I turned around, and saw Prince Chilled wrapping his arms around me, as Duke Tom was holding Connor.

"Let's go out." Prince Chilled said to me.

"You guys definitely should! You both deserve it!" The Duke Crew said, agreeing with Prince Chilled.

"Ok." I replied, as I went upstairs to the loft to change. I changed into this simple, yet elegant lavender dress that Prince Chilled got for me. Once I went downstairs, I saw Prince Chilled in a fancy shirt, lavender tie, and nice pants.

The Duke Crew had all changed roles: Duke Ze was out shopping, Duke Tom was making dinner for the Dukes, and Duke Smarty and Duke GaLm were holding Connor and Micayla, respectively.

"Have fun!" They said, as Prince Chilled led me out the door, and onto our night out.

I didn't realize until Prince Chilled brought us to a hill overlooking the kingdom that he was carrying a basket. He pulled a blanket out of the basket, and we sat it out. He opened the basket to reveal all of my favorite things: little strawberries, watermelon, juice, water, and small cakes.

"Princess Minx," Prince Chilled said to me "We haven't had much time to ourselves recently with the fact that we both ran away, and that we now have two lovely children. Everyday, through all of everything, I realize how lucky I really am. I have amazing friends that support us through everything and two amazing, lovely children who I love dearly. However, I realize that the best thing in my life is you. You are the best thing that could have ever happened to me. Even though King Nanners forced us to do things we were not ready for, it turned out ok in the end. The only reason it did was you. You were here, waiting, and you let me back in after everything you experienced with King Nanners, and I'm really grateful you did. So, what I'm really trying to say is, I love you, so, so much."

I had nothing to say. No words could express how much that meant to me, or how much he means to me, so I did the only thing that came to me. ..I kissed him, deeply.

We kissed deeply and passionately, only stopping to take breaths.

We sat out for a little while, before packing up and taking a walk through the countryside.

I was so happy, even as we were walking home.

(Chilled's POV)

I thought everything would be good.

That was before we walked back into the house.

Someone took Minx away from me, and passed her to another oerson, who was pointing a sword at me with the hand he wasn't holding Minx with. In the background, I saw two guards holding Minx's and my kids, and four other guards holding Duke Ze, Duke Smarty, Duke GaLm, and Duke Tom.

A fifth guard grabbed me as I looked at the person pointing the sword at me.

It was King Nanners.

He didn't recognize me, but it didn't make a difference in what he was going to say next.

"You're under arrest for the kidnapping of Princess Minx."

(???'s POV)

So, he did it.

Great.

Good thing he doesn't realize he will be the one who is thwarted this time.
