Jasmine

It's been over a month. He broke his promise. I'm not mad at them. I'm just...disappointed.

I got a temporary job at a café because I refuse to use the cards he left on my bedside table. I made a friend but I don't want to get too close because-.
I don't know. I don't know when they're coming back.

Isa is a lovely guy. He's Palestinian and he's quite tall. 5'11, maybe? He's very funny and has a beard and glasses and he's quite fat and he's always happy which is so cute.

"Hello Tilly" I greeted one of our usual customers. She was lovely old white lady who tipped very generously to Adam and I.

"Hello dear. I'm thinking of trying something new"

I gasped "Really?"

She nodded with the cutest smile. "May I try that lemon tart?" she pointed through the glass.

"Of course"

"Hello Jasmine" Adam walked in tying apron.

"Hey! Here you go, Tilly. And you know what to do if you can't finish it"

"Ask to pack it for tea later"

I nodded with a smile as she walked to a table as I turned to Isa who was had a croissant in his mouth whilst putting some money in the register.

"Still here?" He sat on the stool.

"Unfortunately"

"It's okay. Let's go catch a movie tonight"

"Let me take a rain check"

"What a- oh! Here comes lover boy" he nodded towards the window where you could see a young boy walk in, around my age.

I glared at Isa "Hello George" I smiled.

"Hey Jasmine. Looking beautiful as ever" he leaned against the counter. George was a regular who apparently has a crush on me but I don't see it but Adam however, does not shut up about it.

I smiled softly "What can I help you with today?"

"Come out have lunch with me"

Say no
If you don't say no-

But it's lunch-

HE'S ASKING YOU OUT ON A DATE

George? He would never. He knows I have a boyfriend.

I looked at Isa who was shocked. "Um Jas? The kitchen please" he stood up, walking to the back.

"One second George" I followed Isa "What?"

"I don't think I've met anyone as dumb as you. He's asking you out on a date, you dickhead"

I sighed "it's not a date but I'll decline. I need to walk my dogs"

I also wanted to get out of these clothes. It was a black polo shirt and short black skirt which was incredibly skimpy. I keep having to pull it down but my manager forced me to wear it because it 'was the rules' whilst Adam gets to wear whatever he wants as long as it's black. Talk about misogyny.

I walked back out but stopped in my tracks when I saw George staring at me. I turned around and walked back to Isa "Okay maybe you're right" I sighed.

"Told you" he smirked.

"So? What do you say?" George asked when I walked back to him.
