"Whatever you want"

"That's not very helpful, Alex" Jasmine said as she was on the phone, asking what the dress code was for Michael's 'surprise' party.
"What do you think is suitable?"

"Something smart"

"That's helpful. Thank you." She replied sarcastically

"You're welcome, darling"

. . .

"I hate dresses though" Jasmine complained.

"Then wear . . . Do you have any shirts?" Simran recommended while they were facetiming.

"Yes"

"Some nice trousers?"

"Yeah. Let me show you" she took out the clothes from her wardrobe and showed her sister.

"Yess. I like those. Now, add some suspenders and a blazer, a belt and some nice shoes and there you go."

"Suspenders and a belt? Which one?!"

"Oh shit. Sorry ummm the belt"

"Perfect. Thank you!"

"Soo how's it going, being single again" Simran nudged.

"It's okay"

"Just okay? Aren't you going to find someone new? I mean, I'm not saying you have to but- oh gosh, what about the dude from the café you work at"

"Which one?"

"The black dude?"

"Oo yeah. That's Michael."

"Yeah him. Is he single?"

Jasmine shrugged "I don't know. It's not really my business"

"It will be once you develop feelings"

"What?"

"Don't tell me he isn't one of the most dreamiest guys you've guys you've met"

'He is, alongside with Alex and Leo' Jasmine thought.

"I guess he's good looking but he'd never go for someone like me"

"Don't say that! You never know- I'm sorry Jazzy. I need to go. I'll speak to you soon. Love you!"

"Love you too! Bye" she hung up.

Jasmine threw herself into her bed, sighing.

Jasmine

This party is going to be the death of me. I hate wearing fancy clothes but I guess I'll make an exception because they're my friends. Atleast I hope- oh God, what if they don't see me as their friend and it's one sided.

They probably don't.

That's not very helpful.

I tried to put off the party until tomorrow. Right now, my only focus was to ge through English Literature without falling asleep.

I thought it would be fun considering I passed my English GCSEs but nope.

I got up to go to the bathroom and as I opened the door, I was met by another tall person.
This one felt familiar.

"What are you doing here, Theodore?"

I walked to the bathroom and slammed the door, gently, in his face.
