As we were done with shopping with his son's clothes, we then came across a playground. His son was begging him to allow him to play there. Being the doting father he is, he allowed him to do so. Both of us watch him play at the bench provided.
"Why are you with your son only ? Where's your wife ?" I asked while looking at his son, Joseph playing with some other kids
"Oh, about that" he responded
"My wife and I already split up a few years back" said Joshua
Fuck-- I shouldn't have asked.
"Sir I'm so so sorry for asking such question !" I apologized immediately
He then laughed softly
"Wh-why are you l-laughing" I asked
"How can I not ? You're so pure and too nice" Joshua replied as his eyes were also smiling, melting my heart in the process
"I don't think I mind much about my ex wife. I'm genuinely happy now without her in my life" he chuckled
"I-I see" I uttered, not wanting to ask more about his relationship
"I'm sorry that my son earlier was a bit rude. Ever since she cheated on me and even other relationships I've been through, he became more and more protective of me" he scratched the back of his head
I wonder why he's really personal with me nowadays.
