You must be wondering why I said lately. I've been promoted to another department and it's been taking up a lot of my times a lot so I often rejected their offers to hang out with each other. It's a relief i managed to clear up my schedule for today
"Happy 3rd anniversary my dear" he handed me a bouquet of daisies. Blue daisies
"Charming as usual my honey" I giggled
"Of course, I am THE gentleman after all" he chuckled
"Yeah yeah whatevs" I rolled my eyes playfully
Joshua then took out the food he had prepared and served it for us. Such a gentleman indeed my love.
Overall, we had a lovely day together. It feels like we're already a family and I'm so happy. It's like a family of my own. Maybe one day, we will end up in that way
After we were done with eating and all, we decided to take a walk
"I have a surprise for you so can you turn around for a bit ?" Joshua asked
"Oh, sure" I replied as I turned around
He gave me a bouquet of flowers already like he always did. I guess he wants to make it extra special since it's the third year. Lowkey hoping a proposal though...
"You can turn around now" said Joshua
I turned around to see him on one of his knees, with a gentle smile carved onto his lips
He's really proposing.
My heart began to beat faster and faster when he pulled out a small black velvet box.
"Sophia, for the past 3 years I've known you, I knew you were someone I'd love to spend my whole life with. Even before we got close. Something about you was so charming that, I wished to be close to you no matter what. My wish came true and here we are now. 3 years of stable relationship and on top of that, my son, Joseph has been really fond of you. From that moment, I know if I let you go, no one can replace you so... Will you be by my side for the rest of my life ???" he proposed as he opened the small black velvet box, revealing a silver diamond ring.
"That's a given isn't it ? Of course it's a yes" I replied as I seriously wouldn't stop smiling
He chuckled
"Of course" he responded as he slid in the ring into my ring finger. He then hugged me gently as he whispered
"I love you" he whispered
"I love you too" I whispered back as I hugged him
