RWBY : Ruby's Dragon Protector (UP FOR ADOPTION)

Prologue

??? : "Where am I ?"

The gigantic figure asked in a cavernous and resonant tone as it woke up. Its opened its eyes revealing them to be gleaming orange in color with keyhole-like slits pupils. The enormous beast looked around , trying to find at least some light but there were none. Suddenly, two humanoids-like appeared before along with a bright light which caused the beast to hiss in displeasure.

But thanks to the light, we could see how the beast finally looked like and who he was : the gigantic creature was a Dragon with a long serpentine-like neck , a crest of spurs on its head along with a crocodilian-like face. It also had a compact torso with a streamlined shape, spines and spikes along his back and the back of his neck. It possessed stocky hind-legs , a very long tail and was mostly covered in dark-red scales with a dull-golden underside.

The Dragon was none other than Smaug the Terrible, the last fire-drake of Middle-Earth. He was known under many other titles such as Smaug the Mighty or Smaug the Chiefest and Greatest of Calamities. The Great Dragon eyed the two figures with narrowed eyes , wondering who they were and where he was.

After all, the last thing he remembered was him being shot by a Black Arrow after he attacked and burned the city of Laketown in revenge for Thorin Oakenshield and his Dwarves for attack him in the Lonely Mountain.However, during his attack, he was confronted by an Archer who was stupid enough to try to take HIM down... and he did.

The souvenirs of his final moments re-entered the Fire-Drake's mind and deep growl escape his throat but then he noticed something : wasn't he supposed to be dead ? He was deep in thought when suddenly one of the figures spoke.

??? : "Greetings noble Dragon ! I'm sure you are wondering where you are..."

Smaug ignored the question and instead eyed the talker with hidden interest : the figure was intriguing him because of the antlers on its head and about the fact he was completely yellow. It was also taller than the other. Then he eyed the second figure who was completely different from the other one : it was purple in color and had ram horns on its head.

Smaug : (angrily) "Who are you ? What do you want ?!"

Usually, his voice alone scared his interlocutors but , to his surprise, they didn't even flinched. This act alone caused him to have some respect for those strangers but he didn't showed it. The second figure, the purple one, stepped forward.

??? : " You might not believe me Mighty One but we are known as the 'Two Brothers' ! I am the God of Darkness and this is the God of Light !"

The Fire-Drake's eyes narrowed and rose to his full size in an intimidating manner.

Smaug : (growled) "Do you really think I'm a fool ?! If you are what you claim then prove it !"

The two figures looked at each other before nodding in agreement. To Smaug's shock, the two 'Gods' turned into Dragons ! The God of Light turned into a Golden Eastern Dragon who heavenly glowed while the God of Darkness turned into a large purple Western Dragon with skeletal features. However, despise being in another form there weren't big enough to pose a big threat toward Smaug who was still fairly bigger than the two of them. Soon, the two Brothers returned to their humanoids forms , looking up at Smaug.

God of Light : "Is that proof enough ?"

Smaug : (huffed) " For now it is... now... What do you want with me ? And where am I ? "
