Smaug was flying toward Beacon as fast as he could but he had some... pests to deal with on the way. Some strange Dark Birds tried to take him down but they were no match for him and he managed to kill them effortlessly. The Mighty Dragon resumed his trip toward Beacon , while making sure he was out of sight, but when he arrived he was welcomed by a damaged city attacked by hordes of Dark Creatures he assumed were Grimm.

His orange-yellow eyes scanned the city , looking for the girl he was supposed to protect but he didn't saw her anywhere. However, something else caught his attention : it was the large dark being standing at the top of the school's tower and studied it carefully : unlike the Dark Birds he fought earlier, this Grimm was bigger and looked like a Dragon... more like himself.
It had large bat-like wings which were transparent, rough black skin with white bone-like spines on its body along with an external skull rib-cage and rows of dorsal spikes. Its skull had pair of large horns along with six yellow-red eyes while its jaws possessed fangs that extended down its neck beyond its skull.

The Creature wasn't as big as him ( he was way smaller) but it could still possibly be a far better opponent than the Dark Bird-like Creatures from earlier and were surely a real threat to the girl he was looking for. Then Smaug noticed another thing : the Dark Beast seemed concentrated on something in the Tower. Frowning, Smaug eyed the window the Grimm seemed to look in and saw a human woman. Sadly he was too far to describe her properly.
But one thing was sure : she wasn't the one he was looking for... she seemed older . He was about to ignore her when he saw that the Grimm wasn't attacking the woman and instead seemed to listen to her. Growling, the Mighty Dragon realized that she must be the one behind this attack and knew that if he didn't acted now, his protégé would be in great danger later . Without thinking, he dived down , going straight toward the Grimm before opening his mouth to let out a torrent of flame.
