In Vale, sleeping under a large pile of gold and other jewelries, was none other than Smaug, the former Mighty Dragon of Middle-Earth. It had been a few days since the Two Brothers sent him in Remnant and the Red Dragon hadn't moved from his cave except to hunt. Surprisingly , he didn't get caught ONCE by the habitants of this world....yet.
The Mighty Creature was waiting patiently for the Gods to call for him. In exchange of returning among the livings, Smaug had to accept to act as a Protector for a young human girl, a teenager no less, who , from what the Brothers told him, possessed an unique power through her eyes. Because of this power, she was the target of some people who would gladly get rid of her.
There was another reason why he was sent here to Remnant instead of being among the deaths : apparently he was sent here by Eru Ilúvatar, to start over and to have a chance for redemption for what he did in the past in Middle-Earth. In exchange of this, he was given by the Gods themselves a new place to live. All he had to do now was waiting for them to call him.
And they did , two weeks after his arrival.
Smaug was sleeping peacefully under his pile of gold , dreaming about nothing in particular when he heard a familiar voice in his head : the voice of the God of Light.
God of Light : "I'm sorry to bother you but the time has come..."
Then another voice, this time of the God of Darkness, the youngest of the two, was heard after the precedent one.
God of Darkness : (hurriedly) "Your protégé needs you ! She is in great danger !"
Smaug : (growled) "What's happening ? Where is she ?"
God of Light : "Her school , Beacon, is under attack ! You will find her there !"
Smaug :" And where is this school ?"
God of Darkness : "Beacon lies at the east edge of the city of Vale !"
God of Light : "Here..."
The God of Light sent him a spectral image of Beacon Academy

Smaug : " I see... Where is Vale exactly ?"
God of Darkness : "Huh... You are actually in the Kingdom of Vale... All you have to do is heading East... "
The Mighty Dragon nodded his head and the Gods left his dream. Smaug opened his eyes before raising out of the massive pile of gold he was under. Then, he made his way out of his cave, with a grin on his face.
Smaug : " It is time for me to show the people of this world what I am capable !"
As he shouted those words, the Mighty Beast stepped out of his cave. Then he flapped his wing, lifting off into the sky. In the air, Smaug spinned before swooping off to East toward his next destination: Beacon Academy. He will finally meet the one he was assigned to protect.
