''Mom! I'm going outside to play!'' Yelled a young boy with green eyes

''Alright Eren, be careful!!'' Yelled his mum who was making food in the kitchen

Eren ran to the door and opened, his eyes widened at the sight infront of him. Eren was staring at the lifeless body of a young girl on the floor. Eren's eyes widened at the realization of how badly injured this young girl was.

''Mum! Come here quick!!'' Eren yelled as he started to panic

''What is it now Eren....'' Eren's mum came walking over to the door, her eyes gradually widening as she saw a body on the floor

''Oh my!!'' Eren's mum yelled as she bent down and check the young girls pulse, sighing in relief when she heard one.

''Eren, quickly get some bandages, I'll bring her in!'' Ordered Eren's mum who gently picked in the young girl in her arms, and Eren storming off to bring bandages and some alcohol to cleanse the wounds

Eren's mum quickly brought the young girl into the room, lying her down gently on the bed. She told Eren to go and wait outside while she cleanses the wounds and bandages the young girl up. Eren nodded and then waiting outside the room whilst his mum does what she said. After she was done, she placed covers over the young girl's body.

Eren was now in the room with his mum, sitting by the young girls's side. Eren's mum was really worried about the condition of the young girl, whereas with Eren he just looked at the girl with a slight frown on his face.

''It's clear she hasn't been eating well, she is so frail'' Eren's mum claimed with a saddened expression on her face

''Who do you think done this mum....and why did she get left in front of our house'' Eren asked as he looked at the girl with a sad expression too

''Eren....I don't know....whoever treats children like this is sick...'' Eren's mum spoke disgusted at the thought of such people

''We don't know anything about her though mum....we can't just keep her here'' Eren frowned as he looked at the girl

Eren then went over and gently held the young girl's hand, and brushed his finger over the small cuts, being very gentle. He had no idea why he did that, but something was telling him that this young girl needed protecting...an intense feeling was burning inside him.

''When will she wake up...?'' Eren asked

''I don't know Eren.....I've cleaned her wounds...but we will have to wait until your dad gets here...he can thoroughly check this young girl's condition'' Said Eren's mum

A few hours later, Eren's dad had made it back home, he was surprised to see a bandaged up body in his house. Eren's mum then explained the situation to him, so as a doctor he made some vital checks. Everything seemed to okay, but it was clear the young girl was malnourished.

"She will wake up in a few hours... when she does make sure she eats" Said Grisha as he looked at both Eren and his wife

"We will" Eren's mum nodded

''I'll check on her condition once she wake up'' Grisha added, to which both Eren and his mum nodded

A few hours later, Eren was sitting next to young girl, wondering who did this to her, a small frown was plastered on his face as he looked at the girl. Just as he was about to get up, he noticed the young girl making movements, he then saw her flutter her eyes open, his eyes slightly widened as he staying put. The young opened her eyes and was met with Eren's green eyes. Her eyes widened as she tried to get up.

''Ow ow ow ow'' The young girls winced in pain, causing Eren to jolt up from his seat

''Stay down....you're in no condition to move....let me go and get my mum'' Eren stated as he got up and ran out of the room to get his mum

When Eren's mum came in, she helped the young girl sit up properly, making sure she was gentle with her body. They introduced themselves and told her what condition they found her in. The young girl stared at them, never having felt this warm feeling that building up inside her. This feeling was so new to her that it made her cry, Eren's mum and his eyes widened as they saw tears flowing down her face. So she gently wiped her tears away.

''Why are you crying dear'' Eren's mum asked worriedly as she gently stroked the young girls hair

''N-no one has ever been this nice to me....'' the young girl frowned as she looked down fiddling with her hands, taking both Eren and his mum by surprise

''Dear...what about your family...?'' Eren's mum asked as she looked at the young girl worriedly, causing the young girl to flinch

''I...don't have one'' The young girl answered as more tears left her eye, causing Eren's and his mum's eyes to widen

''Who did you stay with this whole time then....'' Eren spoke up worriedly

''I was living with a family....but....they never treated me right.....they kept hurting me until it got too much....and then I ran away'' The young girls voice quietened as she looked down, letting her tears fall

''Oh dear....you must have been so scared....how could they do this to a child'' Eren's mum pulled the young girl into a hug and rubbed her back,

The young girl's body was trembling and Eren's mum could feel it, she tightened her grip around her frail body, gently rubbing her back, tears continued to fall down the young girl's eyes as she never felt this warm, this protective aura from these two people. After some time, the young girl had calmed down. Eren wrapped a blanket around her body, and smiled at her.

''What's your name?'' Eren asked softly

''Y/n....'' The young girl answered, to which Eren nodded

''Y/n...how about you stay with us....we will be your new family'' Eren's mum smiled softly as she gently patted Y/n's head, taking Y/n by surprise

''I....can't do that...'' Y/n's shook her head as she looked down with a slight frown

''Why not....we want you to stay with us, plus it will be dangerous for you to go outside right?'' Eren stated

''Please don't say no dear...you need someone to look after you...and we since we found you here, we will take you in....so don't say no to your new family now'' Eren's mum smiled as she ruffled Y/n's hair

''I'll get something to eat for you okay...talk to Eren in the meanwhile....don't worry he doesn't bite'' Eren's mum giggled as she got up, causing Y/n to smile slightly

''Wah! Y/n smiled'' Eren beamed in happiness, causing Eren's mum to giggle as she left the room

Eren pulled Y/n into a tight hug, protectively wrapping his arms around her frail body. Y/n snuggled into his arms as she felt warmness from him, something Y/n wanted for a long time...someone to look after her...someone who doesn't hurt her....someone she can call her family.

''Y/n.....I promise to take care of you from now on....'' Eren vowed
