"Does Eren like anyone" Y/n asked, causing Eren to stare at here

"You wanna know if I like someone?" Eren asked surprised

"I don't like anyone Y/n, it's simple as that" Eren shrugged as he looked at Y/n, sending a slight sting to Y/n's heart

Eren's POV

"I'm sorry Y/n......I can't say anything....I doubt you'll ever feel the same way

"I see....Y/n doesn't have anyone she likes either..." Y/n let out a painful chuckle as she looked down

"I'll go back to my room, thank you for taking care of me" Y/n smiled as she wrapped her arms around Eren, not knowing warm tears were flowing down her face, just as Eren was about to lift his arms, Y/n let go and walked out.

Eren was left in his room, as he stared at the wall ahead. A warm tear escaping his eyes.

"I'm sorry Y/n....I just can't bring myself to say anything....I'm too scared" Eren gritted his teeth as rest his head in his hands

Unbeknownst to Eren, Levi and Hange were stood outside his room, hearing the whole conversation between them. Levi let out a small sigh.

"Those two are too afraid to tell the other that they like each other.....and in the process they are only hurting themselves" Hange frowned as she looked at Eren

"Ne Levi, can't we do anything to help them?" Hange asked as looked at him

"It's best if we keep out of it....those two just need time....they care for each so much they that are afraid of losing one another, hence no one is able to say anything" Levi stated

"Just leave them be....there is nothing we can do for them, let's just hope they don't take too long." Levi added as he made his way through the corridor

With Y/n,

Y/n walking through the corridor, warm tears flowing down her face.

"What the hell was I even expecting?" Y/n chuckled as she placed her hand over her face

Y/n walked in her room and went straight for her bed, she turned her back to the girls, taking them
by surprise. They looked at each other and went over to Y/n

"Hey Y/n, what's wrong?" Ymir asked as she gently stroked Y/n's hair, but Y/n just stayed silent, this worried the girls now.

"Oi Y/n, say something" Ymir gently turned Y/n around, her eyes widened when she saw tears coming down her face

"Why are you crying Y/n?!" Mikasa asked worriedly and gently wiped Y/n's tears

"Did something happen between you and Eren?" Krista asked worriedly

"Eren admitted that he doesn't like anyone, when I asked him, he instantly answered with a no" Y/n painfully chuckled as she covered her face, causing everyone's eyes to widen

"Did Eren say that?!" Sasha asked as she gritted her teeth

"Yeah......I don't wanna carry on like this.....it's clear that Eren has no feelings for anyone....I should just get rid of these feelings for him....I don't wanna ruin anything" Y/n wiped her tears as she looked down on the bed

"Nobody is to mention this okay....Maybe I am asking for too much here, I might've been selfish.....but I should be happy that Eren cares for me" Y/n announced as she stared at the wall ahead

"Oh Y/n" Krista sighed as she wrapped her arms around her Y/n

"We understand, but do you really think you can keep these feelings hidden forever?" Ymir asked as she gently stroked Y/n's hair

"I don't know.....I don't care anymore" Y/n let out a painful chuckle as she closed her eyes

The girls comforted Y/n, understanding very well what Y/n is going through right now. They don't know for sure if Eren meant it or not but they knew those two definitely had feeling for each other, it was very obvious. It's just that they were scared about losing each other is all.....

So after that day, Y/n and Eren began talking to each other less, which was a surprise for everyone. Eren and Y/n were both struggling with keeping their feelings to themselves. Eren would still take care of Y/n, but that was it, Eren didn't push Y/n and Y/n never pushed Eren.

The girls were worried about Y/n, but Y/n reassured them that she was fine. They knew Y/n was lying, Y/n was not okay. Y/n's feelings for Eren kept growing but she held it in....even if it hurt her, she didn't want to risk it.

A few days later, Erwin was with Levi in his office to discuss the expedition that they had. A letter has arrived. Erwin read it and his eyes widened, but a frown made it's way onto his face afterwards.

"What is it about Erwin?" Levi asked

"A trial is taking place to decide what happens to Y/n and Eren," Erwin announced, causing Levi's eyes to twitch

"Those bastards must've found out" Levi scoffed

"They really are asking for it....now that they know Eren was safe and sound, they will definitely want custody of Y/n now" Levi sighed in irritation

"We'll only find out when we get there" Erwin announced.

At the court,

Y/n was tied up in the middle as the first time she was here, the same crowd had gathered, this time Eren was standing on the side with Mikasa and Armin. Eren noticed Y/n's face and he gritted his teeth. Mikasa and Armin looked at Y/n with heavy hearts as they looked at the blank expression on Y/n's face.

After the proceedings were done, everyone waited for Zackley to announce what was going to happen to Y/n. Y/n didn't bother questioning anything as she did before, Y/n just obeyed what was being asked of her.

"The Military Police Brigade is granted Custody of L/n Y/n"
